Attention AP pollsters and FBS Coaches....PLEASE STOP VOTING BOISE ST IN THE TOP 5....it is embarassing....as a matter of fact go ahead and vote Boise 13th and keep them there....by keeping them at 13, they would not be eligible for a BCS game....by allowing them to be in the top 12, you are taking away a BCS spot from a team that is almost assuredly more deserving then the the ridiculously overrated Broncos...

Boise St is a joke....I can easily name 12 teams better then the Broncs!

Florida
Alabama
Texas
USC
Va. Tech
Ohio St
Nebraska
Oklahoma
LSU
Cincinnati
Miami Fla
Oklahoma St
Penn St
Iowa
South Carolina
Oregon

I have watched Boise 4 times this season including once in person. They played awful vs Oregon, but beat a more atrocious Oregon team...so I let that performance slide....if they played again....give me Oregon.
I saw them make Fresno St look like the 95 Cornhuskers as they got run on like Rice did against Navy last week....
I saw them look "impressive?" versus a lousy Bowling Green team....whoopie...
and last night they looked very average and very slow....they couldn't run the ball versus a very average Tulsa team...and their defense is undersized and slow...

Here's to Boise dropping each week in the polls!!!!! Here here! :toast:

I agree
When they won the Fiesta bowl with that huge comback that still lingers.
They also have played in the a lot of Thursday & Friday night games vs weak teams and everyone has watched them.

They are good with marketing and they will continue to build that program because they will be able to recruit. When they strengthen the schedual and play some tough teams then they will be legit for top 10.

they beat Oregon the last 2 years. They beat Oklahoma a few years back.
This program continually wins and wins and beats good teams in the process yet people still shit on them for not winning EVERY game by 30.

i'm so sorry you lost your Boise -9.5 bet. They are still a BCS worthy team.

:think2:With all due respect SDF, even if this guy did drop it on Boise last night and lose his ass, Boise is definitely not a top five team this year. The only win over any legitimate top 25 team this year was Oregon and if Oregon didnt shit their own pants they probably would not have lost. Not this year Boise, sorry. The only thing top five about Boise is their coach IMO. And yes, I had Tulsa straight and teased with the under last night if you would really like to know...

To win once could be written off as a fluke, but Boise beat highly ranked Oregon teams in back-to-back seasons. That's a strong indicator that it wasn't just luck, but that Boise was just better.

Doesn't bother me one bit to see Boise in the Top 10 or even the Top 5.

It ESPECIALLY doesn't bother me to see them there in mid-October, when the polls mean nothing.

See, but the polls DO mean something...because let's face it, Boise isn't losing all season. Are you gonna be ok when Boise IS ranked 5th in December when the polls DO matter?

My point is this....I am not doubting Boise as a very strong football team and a quality program....they can go 13-0 all they want for all I care...but You cannot justify putting them in ANY BCS game based on the ridiculous schedule they play...

Sure, on any given "Saturday," on a neutral field with weeks to prepare do I think Boise can hang with the best of them? Yes! However, put them in the SEC and have them have to play LSU and Florida in back to back weeks....then play Mississippi St and then have to go play Bama....can anyone say 1-3 over that stretch?

START SCHEDULING LIKE FRESNO DOES!!!!! Had they played and won at Wiscy and at Cincy...then the BG's and Miami (OH) of the world are fine...their schedule is a joke....and they don't even dominate in those games either...

just what people said about Utah last year
Boise 2 years ago
utah back when urban as coaching

waaa waaa waaaa...it beats seeing some big10 team shittin the bed...or some 8-4 ACC team.

i didnt see you boo hooin' here about how bad Boise is when they beatdown Oregon. or MOH. or BGreen. or Fresno.

but you want to pick out the one game where they didnt play as great...on a tough home turf against a good team. and still pulled out a TD win....and say they aint worth a chit?

please...

Wouldn't bother me a bit. They'll go a non-championship BCS game if they finish undefeated, which is where they deserve to be. That makes far more sense than a three- or four-loss team playing in a game like that simply because they play in a conference that gets an automatic bid.

No matter what, relax for now. You're getting worked up over hypotheticals. It won't take much for poll voters to jump Boise State with teams from stronger conferences.

Thing is no one wants to play Boise. All these top teams you say, they dont want to schedule Boise. So I dont care if the are top 3 or top 5 or top 10, they still should be given the opportunity to play these teams. If they beat em, great, if not, we know where they will go. So until a playoff system is done, I wish they remain up there and beat some BS teams. Hate the BS system. Its where the money is. Just like in Rush hour..." follow the rich white guy.."

they need to play a real team. heck, they would lose to a team like miss st., arkansas or south carolina. all 3 mediocre teams in the sec.

this is the same crap every year, boise plays maybe one team and wins it, but the rest of their schedule is horrible and they rnt blowing every game out. y would u put a good team with a horrible schedule that doesnt show dominance in the games they play into the bcs with the power conferences

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum, but thought I might chime in with you guys on this topic.

Just wanted to comment that I agree that while Bosie is a legit 8-15 team, they probably are not one of the Top 5 teams in the counrty this year. They will go undefeated however, and if they do I hope they get a BCS birth, but the voters will not allow them any higher than 5th I wouldn't think. Alot of it has to do with the teams in front of them losing early on, but now that teams have had a chance to establish themselves, 5th is about where they top-out.

Lost on them last night, and the over as well. Man that game was set up perfectly at the half a 25-14, becuasue I assumed that Boise would win the 2nd half 14-7 or so and be done with it. The playcalling was horrendous in from the 3rd quarter on. Teams like Boise need to make a statement in that situation and they did not. Either way, I'll take'em on the blue turf a couple of times more this season.

Look forward to posting and getting insight from everyone in the future.

I disagree with this comment...I def don't think they lose to Miss St, or maybe even SCU, Ark maybe if Mallet played his A game but I still think BSU could come out with the win. Now, While i "DONT" think they should be considered for the Nat'l tittle game, I also don't think it's fair they are getting shit on because teams choose not to want to play them...btm line is "most" teams play up or down to competition no matter who the teams are...hell look at Texas last week?! 46 rushing yards again Colorado!? When BSU plays in big games they come to play big and show when you put a BCS opponent in front of them they can play up to the standard...So Nat'l Title this year no but def maybe BCS

I just remember when Boise came down south here in 2005 and they got taken behind the woodshed by Georgia 48-13. They made D.J. Shockley looks like the second coming of Johnny Unitas

Fair enough....I appreciate the feedback as always! I do think they will start getting leap-frogged here real quick...USC, VaTech and Ohio St will all finish ahead of Boise as long as they don't lose again...and even a 1-loss Texas, Bama & Fla will stay ahead of them also...

You Can't Be Serious

kellen is out of this world and that tight end has the best hands ive ever seen. they will both be pro's.

This kid is avg. at best. Arm strength below avg., too small, not that mobile, it goes on & on. There are @ least 15 QB's better than he is. Hell
Kaepernick in his own Conf. is much better. As for the TE, also avg., when compared to some of the really good ones. Neither will be drafted or play in the NFL. The QB for sure won't.

listen.

bottom line is all these SEC, Pac10, Big 10, Big 12 teams that all get BSC bowls, THEY DO NOT WANT TO PLAY BOISE. How can they get a chance if not one wants to play them. Why? Beacuse they are scared.
