Do any of you guys have a theory as to why the Dems do so well in the big cities? Obama won by a million +/- in LA, CHI and a half a mil in Manhattan, Philly, and Detroit.
My thinking is that rural folks are less affected by the swings in the economy and see themselves as more self reliant. Why would people crammed together like sardines in the big cities be more liberal? Is it just as simple as the people in the cities were exposed to more of the millions spent on advertising. If it was just an anti-Bush vote then I would have expected it to be more across the board.
