Why hasn't ISIS or another terrorist group claimed this incident. Hmm. Maybe because Trump already pegged them on twitter. Isis does not want Trump as President... right. So why not take credit if they indeed pull that off. By not taking credit they make Trump look bad. It is now up to the "authorities" to try to figure out what happened. So now what is a human tragedy is turned into a political football. Dem's would love it if terrorists (ISIS or others) were not found responsible or took credit. To Dem's Trump's twitter would have more impact than the actual crash and fatalities. Maybe if it is not terrorist related then Trump can change his response, kind of like Hillary and her coal mining

I don't agree with Vit on many things but he is right about this. Muslim extremists hate democracy and everything the western world stands for. They don't care if it is Putin or Hollande, they are willing to become martyrs for an eternal life that does not exist. They would wish for nothing more than the US to come engage them on the ground, on their turf. Trump seems to be more of an isolationist so I am not sure how he would handle this, his plan is thin on details.

In a 31-minute audio message released late Saturday by the IS media arm al-Furqan, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani told his followers that, "the tiniest action you do in the heart of their land is dearer to us than the biggest action by us ... there are no innocents in the heart of the lands of the Crusaders." He encouraged lone wolf attacks during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which is expected to start early next month, "to win the great award of martyrdom." Al-Adnani also said the U.S.-led war against the group was doomed to failure and that America "fell in the swamp of perdition." Last week, Brett McGurk, the U.S. presidential envoy to the 66-country anti-IS coalition, said that "this perverse caliphate is shrinking." There is no way for us to know yet what happened in this tragedy.

Accidents happen with air travel and people die. It's harder to determine the cause when plane parts hit water.

This also occured in an area in which planes have recently been brought down intentionally by ISIS and other groups.

Both France and Egypt are considered enemies of the caliphate.

For various reasons which I will not spend an hour detailing, terror groups are less likely to take credit for their "successes" than they were in the past.
