game #1
Syracuse/Ga Tech UNDER 44 1/2 (right now)
this total is slowly climbing, so i'll wait till this evening to pull the trigger. Neither passing game scares me, except for the turnover facotr, esp Gtech's Ball. Syracuse has been running the ball well of late, which is good because Gtech defends the run well, and probably will give up small chunks of yards, and not the big play. Both teams will want to control the ball and T.O.P. Teams combined UNDER 9 of 14. Barring a barrage of turnovers, this looks like a ho hum 17-14 type game.

Cincy -2 1/2
Throw out the UL game. UL's in a whole other planet vs C-USA teams, Guidugli's back and should be able to move the ball against what i believe is an overrated Marshall D. Cincy was rolling along until his injury and before running into the Cardinal's juggarnaut. . Never know what you'll get with Marshall qb Hill. rb Charles may not play for Marshall which will put even more pressure on Hill. If Cincy's D line can contain the run, which i belive they will, Hill will have problems against Cincy's strength (the secondary). Marshall has been very turnover prone of late, while the Bearcats (throw out the UL game) only has turned it over once in the last 4 games.

Fresno St +6 (bodog)......Virgnia is designated as the home team in this one, but the crowd will be pro-Fresno in this one. From the press clippngs i've read, the Cavs sound a bit overconfident in this one. Going to Boise seems like a "letdown" to them. Frsno is highly motivated, currently ranked #27, they now a win here, lifts them into the top 25 in the final poll. weather is actually quite nice in Boise for late Dec. temp 41 degrees no precip. both teams can run the football, but the key here is Fresno has the more potent passing game, and they also have a much better secondary. Virginia doesn't want this one to turn into a shootout. the big play ability of Fresno will be the difference here.

Miami ohio -1
a little wary of the MAC after watching Toledo and Marshall go down inflames, but Iowa St isn't as potent offensively as UCONN or Cincy. Iowa St was a real feel good story this yr, and should be proud of what they accomplished considering their lack of talent. These defenses are pretty even, but Iowa St can run the ball vs. this front seven. QB Josh Betts has done a great job, considering the gy he followed (some Rothlisberger guy?) Miami wants to send Hoeffler to IU as a winner. i'll lay the very small number, don't believe Iowa St will score more than 10.

Ore st/Notre Dame UNDER 51
Was definately favoring Ore St before the suspensions. I may be one of the few here that believe the Irish will play hard in this one, the " i need to impress the new coach" factor. If Irish can play ball control, and be efficient, this could be very low scoring, and it may be the only way for ND to win. They MUST keep QB Derek Anderson and the rest of the Beaver offense off the field. One advantage for ND is Ore St's nability to run the ball, which should let the Irish LB's help in coverage. The Irish front 4 must get atleast decent pressure on the QB. If ND can convert on 3rd down and control the ball, this one looks like a 23-17 game.

Boston College pick'em.....big redemption game for BC, after losing out on the Big East title. QB Paul Peterson is back and that's bad news for NC's pitful D. Yeah, this one is in Charlotte, but the fans won't be able to help UNC move the ball vs. this stiff Eagles front 7.

New Mexico -3...speaking of Defense, New Mex's D has been absolutely awesome vs. the run lately. I believe playing vs. Air Force every year will help them prepare for this one. Dontrell Moore should run wild for the Lobo's in this one.

Alabama/Minny UNDER 48...Minny's ofense is not quite as potent outside of the dome, and Bama's offense is never potent. Both teams will be able to run the ball a little bit, but the big play may not be there. Not a huge play, but 9i do like the UNDER.

Louisville -11
Louisville shoulda been an undeated BCS team, but couldn't close out Miami,Fl. Boise is a nice team on the pretty blue field, but Red is definately not their color. Many are taling about all the points that'll be scored in this one. UL has played and defeated tougher teams than Boise has. UL much too physical and athletic.

Florida +4 1/2
UF knows Brock Berlin better than anybody. This is a much bigger game for the Gators, the future looks bright with the Urban Meyer era looming. Florida's D will tell the tale in this one. Chris Leak is quickly emerging as a major player and will only get better.
