Edmonton vs Vegas on 05/03 by Jay_Robinson

Handicapper Analysis 0
Everything’s backward in this series. Vegas (plus-0.49 SRS at Hockey Reference) has home-ice advantage for this second-rounder, but Edmonton (plus-0.73 SRS) was the better team during the regular season, and they’re the favorites for Game 1 this Wednesday.

FiveThirtyEight isn’t buying it. They’ve pegged the Knights’ chances of victory at 55%; Vegas only needed five games to eliminate the Winnipeg Jets in the first round, while the Oilers had to go six with the Los Angeles Kings. The Knights also have the advantage in net with Laurent Brossoit (.915 playoff SV%) over Stuart Skinner (.890 SV%) or perhaps Jack Campbell (.888 regular-season SV%).
