And they may have found a QB to build around. Not to jinx him but he looked a lot like a young VY running around out there. I figured they'd get rolled but they hung tough. That's a pretty good Cal team. Texas WONT face a QB of that calibur in the Big12 other than Boykin.

It's going to be the total opposite next week against OSU. They'll play against a run of the mill QB, but a much better defense than they faced with Cal.

OSU really hasn't impressed me on offense this year. I've seen all of their games, and they've still got issues there despite the high score they had against a bare bones UTSA defense. Of course they could be holding back, which is why I need to see them one more game. But I have a feeling that they still have a few issues in their running game, like last year.

Talk about a deflating loss though, to lose a game on a missed XP after coming back from 21 points down in the 4th quarter. My goodness, should be interesting game to cap next week vs Okie St. as Texas seems to have discovered an offense, but how do they respond to this loss? Wow look at that Texas box score, 650 yards of offense and balanced. I'd like to see the tape on this to get a look at that QB.

No doubt about.....there is a lot of trouble in Austin. The Texas Longhorn program being dragged into the mud these past years...unbelievable, especially with all that money they have at their disposal.

A&M isn't in the Big 12 anymore. Tech will fall off. TCU and Baylor should both be good but everyone expects that. I figured Texas may go .500 this year if lucky. It's still a building process for Strong. Those aren't even his recruits out there. However, if it goes this way for another couple of year I expect to see him gone.

That game against Cal was such a roller coaster. I was jumping up and down when Texas broke off that last TD, the devastated when missed the Ex Pt. They finally looked much better on O, but GoSooners is right in that Cal's defense is not that good.
