That's what the Dems think....59 million religious nuts running around in the US. Hard to win votes when you think that way about your 'customers'.

Thats why I can't stop smiling.

His mandate comes from the religious sector.
The silent majority has spoken.

And before long, they will want some...erm...APPRECIATION
(thats a nice word, isn't it)

Glad I'm not a female, or gay in the USA.

Hey.
They could maybe get a partial ban on the pill, or condoms.
Abstinence makes you holier and brings you closer to God (apparently)

The possibilities are endless...

hansen,

i take your point as far as isaakson, dehtroning daschle, etc.

However, still thing palying to the religious right definitely swayed the election. rove & co. didn't orchestrate the Amendment Banning Gay Marriage vote for nuthin'.

Also, number one topic cited in exit polls as to why they supported Bush was Moral Values.

It wasn't the only point but it was a major one.

mud

always a pleasure!!! your right about the moral values -- but coupling that w/ the religious right is a bit of a stretch. how about kerry -- twice married, caught in several lies, late term abortion -- let alone abortion, the whole vietnam "our men our criminals..." thing, there were a lot of reasons to not look up to this despicable man.
