Although one of my systems says WF -6. Is a 4pt advantage something you'd wanna bet on against a team (stanford) who's image in the public eye is not very large.
I'm staying away from the game altogether but I will say that I'm gonna keep watching Stanford to see if they are worth betting on throughout the year.

Trust me Stanford will be worth betting on this season.. I would get on them early though as the linesmakers will catch up with them sooner than later and adjust the lines just as they always do..

i know what you're saying here my friend. thats a long fucking road trip and an early morning game for them. the stanford stock goes up because they handily beat a heaping pile of dog shit team in wash. st(might as well played a team of corpses, that'd be about the same). the wake forest stock goes down becasue they lose a dog fight to a baylor team that is way better then most people understand. this team(stanford) only won one game last year on the road and it was against the washington huskies and it was by a td(do i really need to explain how much these guys blew the meat whistle?) the deacs held their own at home last season. wake qb riley skinner is one of the most talented in college ball right now. ccards qb pritchard throws a lot of picks and is very inconsistent. both teams return many key starters and game is a little tricky. rb toby gerhart on stanford is a bad motherfucker and real hard to tackle(doesn't help wake lost stud l.b.'s) harbaugh also has the stanford program heading on the right track.
Bottom line, you aren't crazy, I like Wake here. But i'm not leaning heavy on this one, I think Gerhart bruising running style and Harbaugh play calling keeps this one tight. But in the end Wake finds a way to win and get the cover. Move on it, Move light!

While I do think Stanford is the play, this thread is what this forum should be about, pointing out things, that while most may have already caught it, but this is the kind of information that is necessary, instead of the pissing contest eveyone gets into here.

Sometimes the pissing contest is neccesary. For instance, here are the reasons.
1)Someone posts inaccurate lines that weren't available at the time they posted
2)Someone trashes others who keep a record while at the same time they are too gutless to post picks themselves
3)Someone claims to bet 50 units on one game and 5 units on another at 1K a game (ridiculous)
4)Someone posts a lock of the year several times a year

I like Wake in this spot as well. The thing that concerns me is that this is the second week in a row that Wake has been a small home favorite against teams that don't traditionally play on the east coast. Clearly the linesmakers don't think too highly of Wake Forest.

This is a tough game because Wake is playing their second team in a row who is on the upswing. I have a feeling that the Stanford defense won't be quite as good as Baylor's defense, who I believe had a little more team speed than Stanford's D. So Wake might have a little more success moving the ball this week. The problem I see is Stanford's offense, which will grind it out on the ground against Wake. As for the time difference, I heard Stanford is flying up there on Wednesday night just to get used to the time change. You'll probably see more west coast teams doing this for here on out for these early starts after the Cal fiasco at Maryland last year.
