Has anyone here at the Rx used them?

Which Sportsbooks accept them?
---------------------------------------
Phaedrus likes them:

"Best payment system in the world, and less than half a dozen books accept it:

http://www.e-gold.com

Cheap, no reporting, no verification, no account limits.

Distant second and third are http://www.e-bullion.comand http://www.evocash.com. Same benefits as e-gold but have not been around for as long, and EvoCash has some past issues not entirely behind them. But any of these are vastly superior to Neteller, Firepay, WU, and any of the other more common payment systems out there.

If they try to take away other payment systems...will this be the way we will send monies in the FUTURE?

As far as I know, no book acept E-Bullion or EvoCash. There are several toher payment systems in this sort of 'forgotten' genre, that respect their users privacy and are to some extent unhooked from the traditional banking world. At the moment, the only one of any solid reputation and consequence is e-gold.

Unfortunately, I only know of two sportsbooks that accept e-gold deposits: Fonbet and MegaSB. Since Fonbet sucks horrifically, that leaves MSB, who I like except for their alarming repeated site failures during peak betting time.

However, any book that accepts MoneyBookers also by extension accepts e-gold, as you can fund and withdraw from a Moneybookers account using e-gold. Moneybookers is also not a bad payment system, it is very efficient, has a great site, is cheap, and there is no verification required for a basic account that has less than 5,000 Euros a month activity in it.

At any rate, I wish that books would consider e-gold. Think about this, guys: the maximum fee you will pay for an e-gold transaction is US$ 0.50, no matter how large. Some guy posts up $ 5,000.00 via a credit card, what does that cost at the online discount rate (1.89% last time I checked) Versus $ 0.50.

e-gold transactions clear immediately, it is not possible to "bounce" one and they are non-repudial; i.e. a customer cannot charge back or reverse a transaction under any circumstances.

Lots of benefits there to the merchant, way more than most other systems.

Food for thought.

Gamebookers accepts E-Gold deposits directly. BetLay, the boutique scam book out of Panama, used E-Gold also.

Phaedrus:

1. Besides Gamebookers, Fonbet, Pointbet, and Betfair, are there any other books that you know of that use Moneybookers ?
2. Any knowledge of the ownership of E-Gold ? I haven't used E-Gold yet, as I haven't really figured out who owns them, or if they're trustworthy.

Halifax, you can deposit direct into Gamebookers via e-gold, but when you go to withdraw they refer you to Moneybookers, at least last time I did an e-gold withdrawal.

I am ucertain as to how many books use either e-gold or MOneybookers, but I know the number is currently fairly low. I am hoping one of the books that read this site regularly will at least go check it out -- there are some real advantages there.

Ownership -- G&SR is the holding company. I am not sure who all owns how much, but I do know who all of the main people in the "power structure" are, including Doug Jackson, who is the actual founder and as far as I know controlling interest in the company. He lives in the Melbourne, FL area and works out of the OmniPay office there (OmniPay is the American subsidy arm of the G&SR companies; e-gold itself is a Nevis company.)

You might take some time to explore the site; there is actually a wealth of info there, and a very active discussion list which you can sign up for via e-mail or to read on the Web (I recommend the latter, as it is pretty high volume.)

As I said previously, I've been using e-gold since 1998 and have enver in five years had a single problem or complaint of any kind. I know dozens of other businesses that use it, and literally hundreds of individuals, but for some reason it's just never taken off like some of the other online payment systems that I won't name but love to go around freezing accounts and/or folding up with the money, like PayPal and BrightPay (oops, forgot to not name names.)

Need your help. I signed-up for an e-gold account and also for a megasb account. I have tried repeatedly to deposit money from my credit card to my e-gold account. I can not figure out how to do this. Please tell me the steps that I need to take to deposit money to my e-gold account and then to the merchant. I have literally clicked on every button on their site and it does not work.

Thanks,
Rick

Must use "Market Makers" a 3rd party... 2% or greater fee.

Okay....

so what do I do? Go to one of these moneymaker sites, make a deposit, then transfer it to my megasb account? It is all very confusing.

Thanks,
Rick

Not worth it... The only way it would be worth it for *me* would be if most all books used e-gold.

You miss my point. I am trying to use this system to ultimately make a deposit to my megasb account. I need someone to tell me how this works. Can you do this for me?

I don't think there are any market makers left who accept credit cards. There wa a massive amount of fraud going on with cc users for a while, and ultimately the solution was to just stop accepting them.

I put a message on the e-gold mailing list about it to see if any of them do accept cc's anymore, and will post up here when I get a response.

Please contact "support@megasb.com" and tell them that you came from RX and mention your RX login and you would be allowed to make a deposit using your credit card .

Good luck!

Also, http://www.goldnow.st accepts credit cards. I thought they had stopped, or I would have recommended them first as they are the oldest and largest exchanger as far as I know, and have dealt with the owner on other things. GoldNow also sells a debit card that can be funded with your e-gold account, and other currencies.

When you've got a spare six hours or so, call Graham at GoldNow and ask him about the UFO Helithruster. Aside from money I think it's his favourite topic on earth. I have been kicking around the idea of getting one of them myself; they look like a blast to play with.

I just signed up for E-gold since I can no longer make debit card deposits to Gamehookers. E-gold might be a good place to move "money" around but it's not very useful when wanting to use it to make a deposit.

As soon as you have some E-Gold amount in your E-Gold account, you may use automated deposit to MegaSB.com and play within seconds.

Good luck!

Be careful depositing with e-gold.. They will NOT do anything about fraud what so ever. They're actually used by alot of scammers online so be wary.

London Gold Exchange

The above should close the deal. If I register there, I can make deposits and withdrawals converted to CASH and they even offer a debit card.

What the hell will I call this: Suicide Gold parlays?

david123, you need to do your homework a little better. e-gold is very popular among online mlm, pnzi scheme type of stuff due to the fact that it is the largest online payment system that does not require identity verification to open an account (more than $ 20 million in circulation.) This does not mean that you are more or less likely to get scammed by anyone just for having an e-gold account -- don't sign up for stupid three-card monty money games, and you're less likely to lose your money.

As far as e-gold doing "nothing" about fraud, they in fact have a very strong and effective DDU in place -- all it takes is one e-mail or one toll-free phone call to get the ball rolling.

Do you even use e-gold? Do you base your aspersions on any kind of experience, or just throwing shit up you were told from a guy who heard about his buddy who saw on a forum where needalifein2003 said that his cousin had been ripped off by e-gold?

In more than five years of using e-gold and God only knows how much money through the system, I have never had a security, service, or other tech complaint about it. Given as how I use it as my primary banking tool and tend to have a good amount in my account I would think if there was any prevalent problem with fraud or security that I would have noticed by now.

DellDude, GOldPages has an excellent online comparison of virtually every market maker for e-gold and other similar currencies, plus links to hundreds of online merchants that accept them for when you hit that big parlay.
