They are also trying to trade their #2 pick for DeMarcus Cousins even though the Kings are saying they won't move Boogie. Kobe/Wade/Cousins would at least be entertaining to watch. Would Kobe or Wade play the 3?

sounds to me like they want to be rebuilding for the next 5 years if this is what they are trying to do. Wade lucky to play 55-60 games, Kobe still a good scorer but thats about it and Kobe and Cousins would definitely not get along.

Here in LA the rumors are Lakers are after everybody.
Last month it was Westbrook, Aldridge, then Jimmy Butler, now Wade & Cousins.

imo Randle & Okafor could be a nice big man duo for the future

If the Spurs gets Marc Gasol or LaMarcus Aldridge I'd have to imagine they'll win the whole thing anyway.

Lakers are too far behind. Realistically to have a shot they need to sign Carroll and L.A. as free agents. Trade #2 picks, Randle, and some combo of Lin/Boozer/Davis (assuming they are still signed) for Cousins (if Sacramento would do it).

Clarkson/Kobe/Carroll/LA/Cousins would be a beastly team.

I have no idea how that would fit salary wise. Kind of talking out of my ass.

I don't in any way recommend they do any of that. Just saying they'd have to do something similarly drastic if they want to give Kobe a shot his last few years.

This made me laugh. Sounds like desperation. Maybe if the Lakers get a few "players" they might compete somewhat but everybody knows players need a year or two before they can gel and that is precious time Kobe does not have. If they try to build around Kobe that would be the wrong strategy but if they are looking to build for the future it would be a step in the right direction so to speak. Trading Randle just doesn't seem like it would be a smart move if they did.

What would be the point of Wade? And DC is a headcase. Better off going the way of the 6ers. Randal is there only potential player and his ceiling is only so high.
