TIE GAME at the end of 3Q.........

Dumb call by Dungy that he let Manning talk him into.

#1...Gonzales ran his route on 3rd & 1 1 yard short b/c he shouldve had the first down. (He later ran laterally out of bounds 1 yard short of the marker, os it was clear his dumbass had no idea where he was on this play & Manning let him have it.)

#2...The game was tied. Tenn couldnt move the damn ball all night as Indy's D was playing very well. A punt wouldve pinned them deep starting the 4th quarter with the game still tied.

But, no.................................

yep, dumbest shit ever... glad I was on the right side tonight. That kinda did set the game up for what happened. I'd be pissed as a Colt backer.

But he makes it the Colts may go on to win that game. Definently a turning point but IMO the Colts are a team that's going to live and die by going for it..

Sure, the 13-0 or 9-0 Colts can do that.

Not the 3-3 Colts battling the division leader who is 3.5 games ahead of them..........in a very winnable game.

I know by the look on Dungys face he hates when Manning does that shit, but he lets him.

Moot point if that idiot Gonzales knew where the sticks were.

Manning knows what to do on 4th down. Dungy don't have a f'kin clue. Watch some previous colts games and then you'll realize who should be in charge on 4th down.

One thing i don't understand on that 4th down call that why should you pass on the short yardage on the previous 3rd down when you knew you go for 4th down? Which is high percentage of that playing call?

I agree with this , dungy gave them the opportunity which may not have been there otherwise. I was really happy as a tennessee backer

Agreed. Awful call at that point in gm, and at that part of field. No reason for that unless IND "D" was absolutely shutting down TEN, which they weren't.

But gotta give some cred to TEN. They are good, and they made that long 80 yd drive TD, and 2 pt conversion, which Collins passed for! It wasn't like IND handed them the gm. They just made a couple of bad calls on 4th down that "may have" won them the gm.

With the Colts running game in shambles and undersized O lineman to the Ten D line. It,s a no brainer, punt the ball in a tie game!! ( Especially when your going against the Number. 1 defence in the leaugue)

It,s just show that Manning makes the big calls for the Colts not Dungy. Dungy is a mere puppet on a string going along for the ride.

This is stupid as hell. Any one who saw the game knows damn well that it was manning who wanted to go for it on 4th down.

Seriously how do people make up such stupid crap knowing full well the whole world saw manning crying and whinning for them to go for it?:ohno:

Opportunity? This wasn't one... opportunity is punting the ball and building a gameplan for the next series. The game wasn't gone--play it out. He/They gambled there and it didn't pay off this time. It was an even bigger gamble because TENN wasn't exactly being shut down so it's a high risk for at least a FG if they fuck up, which happened.

yes but if he converts it, which he has done pretty much all the time he has been head coach of this team, he is praised.

he is aggressive knowing his offense is good and i like that. I was on the Colts last night and I don't blame him really.

I understand MF, but let's say he doesn't convert. He's at the 50yd line. And if that series goes bad? Then they punt and it's just time off the clock, which BENEFITS that Colt team because if they get behind--they can get behind quick!

It's beneficial for the Colts to have time on their side because given the opportunity... a good team and shut them down for an entire game. We're forgetting that INDY squeaked out with their wins, none were smashmouth 20 pt wins like we're used to. They got lucky, and they should stop pushing their luck so much.

I always love Monday (Tuesday) Morning QB's. Crying about what the coach should have done, so to not cost them to pay their bookie on Tuesday.

They were close to the same field position last week on a 4th and short against the Packers (when the game was still close) and despite Manning's crying, Dungy did not go for it.

I wonder if that had anything to do with him being talked into it this week.
