DRF Race Of The Week - The Louisiana Derby (Grade II)

This Saturday, Fairground presents The Louisiana Derby (Grade II) for 3 year olds at a mile and one sixteenth on the dirt for a purse of $600,000. A field of 10 is currently scheduled to go to the post at 5:45 p.m. EST. The post positions, morning line odds and past performance link are shown below.

If you cannot read the PP link, simply sign up at www.drf.com for free and you will be able to read the pdf file. The DRF never bothers you and all you use is an e-mail address and a password.

This is an open thread for anyone that wants to contribute, post a play, whatever. Best of luck.

Five of these nine runners are exiting the Risen Star (Grade III) won impressively by Friesan Fire. Also note West Coast shipper Papa Clem who finished ahead of Gotham Stakes (III) winner I Want Revenge in the RB Lewis (Grade II). I Want Revenge won the Gotham with a 113 Beyer. He should be at or near the lead and is trying dirt for the first time. Friesan Fire put up a bullet work of 58:2 breezing and looks reading to run his best. Likely to be shorter price then his morning line odds. Perhaps around 8/5.
