Anyone heard much on his status?

Any updates?

Last I saw was this:

The best that Sean Payton could offer reporters when it comes to to the New Orleans Saints biggest question mark is a simple shrug of an answer: “We’ll see.” That’s what Payton stated in response to whether or not the Saints would see star quarterback Drew Brees return to practice this week ahead of the team’s showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15.

Only thing I've heard.. They won't play him until he's 100%. If he is 100% now, they aren't gonna announce it yet. Let the Chiefs prepare for both QB's until the last minute. Which is smart.

I don't think we will know. Until we know. w-thumbs!^

I don’t see how an older guy with that many busted ribs and a punctured lung is back playing qb so soon. I figured he was done for career after it. One big hit to the area and it is broadcast booth for Drew.

They have to announce it at a certain time so vegas can put a line up on the game.I'm not sure how far ahead they have ,but i think its on friday when the NFL's final injury report comes out

There's an obvious grey area with it that is easy manipulated. List him as doubtful and make him a game time decision. He warms up 3 hours before the game. Then it's finally announced whether he is playing or not. Happens every week with almost every team. In most of those cases, many of the teams know before the morning of whether that guy is going to play or not. They just wait until game day to announce.

[h=3]NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports there's "not a great chance" Drew Brees returns in Week 15 against the Chiefs.[/h]
Brees had "limited range of motion" in his last throwing session. The Saints want to make sure he's pain-free before clearing him to return. There's a chance Brees practices this week, but with no reason to rush him back, Taysom Hill looks likely to make another start.

This was expected with talk Brees could return this week. It's more likely that Taysom Hill gets another start, but the Saints haven't ruled out Brees playing against the Chiefs.

i think brees plays. with only 1 team getting a bye, I doubt they will rest him unless their is risk of making it worse. if its just a pain tolerance issue, I think he plays.
