Spinning my wheels since last wednesday with 10 wins and 8 losses yet still managing to lose -0.79 due to some high chalk losses...

There's no easy way out of this - I just gotta take it one at a time and have faith in the basics.



Today I'm going with 1 for today and a couple from pinny's reduced section for tomorrow:

No worries Jaypaw!! Think you're doing the right thing by taking it slow until you heat up. I've had a pretty bad start to baskets myself, but this last week I finally started to come around a bit, but I had to really pick and choose which games to play by being very selective. I cut out a few systems I use that just were not working, but have generally stuck to the same thing that has made me money in the past. Just like you said the "basics". Keep plugging away my friend!! I think the Cavs have a great chance tonight...hope they come through for ya! GL!

Grabbing Oklahoma -2.5 at Oly right now for tomorrow night... Oklahoma has dropped their only road game which was at washington but Purdue has not been playing well and have lost two of their three home games (losses to Cinncinati [by 20] and Memphis [by 11] - win over Detroit). Oklahoma would be favored over both Cinncinati and Memphis so when i think about it that way it makes my choice even easier. However games can't be this easy forever - so this very well could be the trap game that I've suspected to have been lurking over the last couple of days.

Beyond bookout OK has some good balance in gray, everett, and lavender - but they arent what they used to be - still they should have enough to win by 3 pts over purdue.

Also contemplating indiana -2 now as well:

This team was able to hang (more or less) with North Carolina and Uconn - and though its somewhat suspect as to why they only beat indiana state by 4 I'm gonna give them a pass on them at this point considering ND had trouble in their first game as well (VS HARVARD!). They played michigan tough at michigan but thats about all they have to brag about and if it was bragging rights alone that won games then I would be betting Indiana right now. The only thing I'm waiting on is because I wanna see if there is any indication (subtle or otherwise) that Indiana might come out flat after showing they can at least hang with the big boys. I dont expect them to be cocky but seeing ND play michigan tough makes me wonder if Indiana might be in a trap situation here vs a team that was ranked prior to their close loss to michigan...


Anyone have any thoughts?

I saved myself a unit by not betting Indiana - lets hope I'm on the right side of oklahoma

I am taking a break but I am still caping the games. I could have went 3-0 yesterday but did not make a wager (Ok state Under, Wiscon Mil, and Northern Iowa). That really drives me crazy but I really need a break. Tonight if I would have played I would be 0-1 with indiana loss and Peperdine pending.

The break was severly needed as the outcomes of the games were really altering my mood. That a definite sign for a break. I will be around but will not be making wagers until bowl games start.

I was getting close to that point myself

looks like I should have the first half in hand and if nothing changes drastically then I may be able to add a total of two units to get myself back within 3 of breaking even again.

I needed a comeback bad...

Still thinking about taking a few days off though sometime soon.
