Bookmaker............

Winners and Losers are official after 5 innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4½ innings. If a game is called or suspended, the score after the last full inning determines the winner. If the home team scores to tie - or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning and the inning is not completed, the score at the time the game is called determines the winner. Monies will be refunded if the home team ties the game and it is then suspended. Events will not carry over to the following day (unless otherwise specified). BookMaker does not recognize suspended games, protests, overturned decisions, etc. for betting purposes.

The Greek...................

A baseball game becomes official for moneyline wagering purposes after 4 1/2 innings if home team is winning, or 5 innings if visiting team is winning.
If a game is cancelled or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning (unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called).
Wagers will be refunded on moneyline bets if the home team ties the game, and the game is then suspended or cancelled.
Events do not carry over to the following day (unless otherwise specified).

Betonline................

Moneyline wagers are considered official after five complete innings or 4 1/2 innings if the home team is winning. Therefore, if a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie or take the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called.

Sportsbook..........................

Major League Baseball games are official after 5 innings of play, or 4½ innings if the home team is leading. If a game is subsequently called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning in which the game was suspended. In that case the winner will be determined by the score at the time the game is called. (This rule holds for betting purposes even if the game is suspended and /or completed on a different day than it began).

Skybook.................

Wagers on MLB sides are considered official once five innings have been played (or four and a half innings if the home team is ahead).
If a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning (unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called.) Monies will be refunded if the home team ties the game and it is then suspended.

SBG Global....................

MLB betting rules: Baseball games are considered official for money lines after 5 innings of play or 4.5 innings of play if the home team is leading. If a game is called or suspended after being considered official, then the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning. In this case, the winner will be determined by the score at the time the game is called.

Jazz.....................( this was listed on their Homepage )

We follow Las Vegas offical rules. Here is the offical rules on last night game: the Philadelhia vs Tampa Bay World Series game 5 has been suspended in the bottom of the sixth inning.
For betting purposes the score reverts back to the last completed inning. Through five innings the score was 2-1 Philadelphia. For betting purposes the score will be 2-1 Philadelphia. Side bets will be action, but totals and run lines are no action. The game will resume at 5:00pm pst tuesday october 28. 1st five inning bets are action.

BetJam..........................

Winners and losers are official after five innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4-1/2 innings. If a game is called, or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning (unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called.) Monies will be refunded if the home team ties the game and it is then suspended. Events will not carry over to the following day (unless otherwise specified). We do not recognize protested games, overturned decisions, etc, for wagering purposes, and all wagers must go the day scheduled, otherwise there is no action and all monies are refunded unless Vegas rules deems an outcome final for wagering purposes, then BetJamaica will follow Vegas decisions.

WSEX.....................................

For betting purposes, except for Interactive games and WBC matches, winners and losers of games are official after 5 innings of play. If the home team is leading, the game is official after 4 1/2 innings. Thereafter, if a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined based on the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie or take the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called.

The Pig..................
Sides are official after 4½ innings when the home team is ahead, otherwise, the game must go 5 complete innings before becoming official. Totals and run lines are official after 8½ innings when the home team is ahead, otherwise, the game has to go 9 full innings before becoming official. Las Vegas rules stipulate that if a game is suspended due to any reason the game reverts back to the last complete inning.

Matchbook.........................

If a match is played on a different date or at a different venue than originally scheduled, all wagers will be cancelled and refunded.
If a game is abandoned all wagers played on Money Line markets will be void unless five innings have been played (or 4.5 innings if the home team is ahead).
For games suspended and rescheduled to a later date, moneyline markets are graded based on the score at the end of the last full inning, should play be halted in the top half of the inning with the home team trailing.

The problem is some donkey lost a bet & felt the need to start 8 threads about the same fucking topic!

He'd probably piss & moan at the track too if he had a horse in a dead heat that was taken down due to a bump mid-stretch....

"Why wasn't it no action?? My horse tied?? I don't care if it had an unfair advantage!! At least they should hold my ticket open until they race each other next...I mean, what if my horse wins heads up against the same horse next out...It's not fair that my ticket was a loser when my horse eventually won!"

The problem is that play wasn't halted in the top half of the inning with the home team trailing. This situation is not particularly unusual so there's no reason for books to have a poorly worded rule on this subject.

I'm a Philly fan and didn't have a bet on game 5. I know the rules and examples in recent history and think the rule grading the game back to the completed inning (same number of 'at-bats') has to be respected. However, I think that Selig's extension of the game equally extends the argument of TB moneyliners into cancellation territory. I don't think these TB protest threads are tiresome or that they should be merged into oblivion. I think they are interesting and I think they have a legit argument. That said, come on Phils, bury these devils.
