The military top brass was reluctant to approve release of the photographs, citing the military tradition of respecting enemy dead, concern over appearing to gloat over the bloody, damaged bodies, and fear of setting a precedent that could easily backfire for families of American soldiers. In the past, Washington has responded angrily to any publication of photographs of American dead.

Our gov't is the biggest hypocrites on Earth.

If Iraq had released pictures of high ranking dead U.S. , Bush would be crying like a first grader.

So many Americans said that the first gulf war was justified because Iraq had no right to attack a smaller country (Kuwait), no matter what justification Saddam used. Americans said it was wrong to attack a smaller country no matter what. Now these same Americans are supporting us atacking Iraq. There will always be hyocrites though I guess we might as well get used to them.

There was a little more to it than that Danny. We don't go around measuring the size of countries to see if an invasion is justifiable or not.

Maybe we can capture Saddam and elect him the mayor of Muncie. Good guy that Saddam, from all I've heard. Real decent fella. Just make sure to buy a gas mask. Heard he has a liking to bomb his own people with chemical weapons at times, just to keep em on their toes.

Grantt,

If the American public were to see pictures of American soldiers dead - you would then see an outcry to start dropping the big bomds over there. Don't you get it - The liberal media would not show that here in America, as then even those who lean to the left would get pissed and want to get this war over with as quickly as possible by whatever means possible. Yes that means big bombs. I wish they would start showing a few dead American bodies as that would touch off a little spark in the panzy asses over here in America.

Yeah WE. As in WE Americans. Does that confuse you that an American lives in Brazil? There are many Americans that live in the U.S. and have residences in other countries as well. There's a big world out there outside of Muncie.

Obviously not. The US is fast becoming the world's bully.

Did I say "becoming"? I meant simply "It is".

No it doesnt surprise me considering that Brazil is IN America. ? I just wondering if its Brazil, IN. That is very close to Muncie. The WE comments refers to the inclusion of myself not you. I am certainly not for this or apart of it, therfore "We" doesnt work.
