Stop-SS--

Burn it to the ground, Donald!

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s team of lawyers has hired four private investigation firms to dig up dirt on the NBA’s former and current commissioners and its 29 other owners, said a person familiar with Sterling’s legal strategy.

Investigators were given a six-figure budget over the next 30 days to examine the league’s finances, allegations of previous discriminatory conduct and compensation to past Commissioner David Stern and current Commissioner Adam Silver, said the person who spoke to The Associated Press on Thursday night on condition of anonymity. The person wasn’t authorized to talk publicly.

The person said the investigators also are looking into whether other owners made any off-color jokes, or racist or sexist remarks.
“The gloves are off, as they say,” the person said. “Have them dig up all the dirt they can find.”

HaHaHa. Now that's a great waste of money. But he has lots to burn so why not....

Like they are going to find anything. Even if they do it will strongly be considered to be hearsay BS. It won't amount to anything.

But the old man has some spunk left in him. Good for him.

I hope Sterling ties up the NBA in litigation for decades. He did nothing wrong and listening to the Je**** slimeball yesterday on Mike and Mike makes me more of a Sterling fan. What does Silver really care if Sterling is an owner? He has been for decades. Rich people get rich by "getting it".

NBA is 78% black. Why do I never hear about the diversity that is needed for the NBA? But MLB has 3 teams without a homeboy and ESPN goes crazy about it.

sterling is a ridiculous, classless, and clueless individual.

He has rights. This is step 1 in attempting to enforce them and will help him and his legal team make a determination as to what kind of case they have and whether they have a legitimate claim. Nothing wrong at all with what he's doing here.

absolutely. If in America they can force someone to sell their business because someone released a private telephone conversation then those who did this injustice deserve anything and everything they have coming. Sterling is now climbing into the ditch with these scumbags. I hope he gets his hands real dirty. Go Sterling go!

So you think this is the respectable move to make ??

Its a legal tactic. Simple as that. Standard operating procedure to hire PIs in all kinds of cases.

It seems his legal team is going to attempt to make a claim (one of many) that the NBA is unfairly targeting Mr. Sterling and attempting to strip him of his ownership for an action he made but in the past, the NBA has failed to take similar actions when other owners have committed acts that cast the league in a negative light.

The only way to make this claim is to point to those prior acts (if they exist). How else would he go about making this claim?
