cash is king baby in a deflationary environment

as for dollar biggest gain in 15 years though i'm not seeing that on my screen

although it is up versus other fiat for now

the key is oil getting smacked 96 now

the oil problem will take care of itself if we go back to sustainable economic practices

vs. driving around in SUVs cause we can tap our bubbling homes as equity...obviously its not just that and a variety of factors.....but you get the point....

The drop in gas prices is worries me at this time.

A couple of days ago, a whole bunch of money was put into the oil market, and now a lot of that is gone as well.

Too much money is gone too fast from the markets, that cant be good

(although cheaper gas is good!!)

if it does than the global economy is going into a depression that will be much worse or as bad as the 30s IMO

i really don't think you want to see that

root for a bottom around 60 or so

:grandmais

oil is the lifeblood of the global economy if it goes that low that means the entire global economy has gone into a depression

recent times spike was both a problem of cheap stuff is running out and also many other emergining economies growing at 10%+ clips GDP wise (india, china etc...)were guzzling more gas....oil is a global commodity

Alot of people are buying electric heaters to offset the cost of oil. They plan on only heating the room that they are in one at a time.

Are expecting deflationary environment in the near future?
I suppose if credit gets real tight that would cause deflation.
But I sort of expect the fed to keep the printing presses going overtime.

No, they're expecting a drop in US demand.

And that would cause a 75% drop in price (if it went to 25 bucks a barrel)??

But a week ago one day it shot up like 20 bucks. Was US demand about to go up that much?
