Lou - I'll bet that as soon as you posted this, numerous people blindly banged the dogs last nite sayig 'this trend is overdue to end' - it will end, but its crazy to try to guess when trends are going to end and can be costly.

So far the home favorites are 14-3 ATS and the home dogs are 2-1-1 ATS in pre-season play.

As of 08/24/04:

Home favorites: 18-7 ATS.

Home dogs: 4-2-1 ATS.

The only game not figured into this equation is the Hall of Fame game between the Broncos and Redskins which was played on a neutral site.

Will the dogs turn it around in Week Three? Stay tuned.

The play in pre-season for the 1st two weeks is usually the under as close to game time as possible. so far 12 overs and 21 unders. this pattern does not hold for weeks 3 & 4, as the lines start to move down etc
