Dog Track Betting Advice

got a few buddys in west virginia today looking to bet some dogs. anybody have any knowledge as to what i should pass on to them for some tips

i was thinking stay away from the favorite and longshots, and get some info on good closers.

any advice fellas

yeah they are in town for the nite as there old ladys are visiting a bride to be and they are just looking for some fun

they didnt go there to toss alot of cash around just have some fun

i knew a guy that use to swear by the mutts on the inside....betting dogs is the crack of gambling...next step down is jai ali

I have had some success with this method, especially when coupled with early speed. Yhe speed seems to hold better in the lower classes.

You really need to have a decent knowledge of the form and tendencies of each dog in every race you bet, or know someone who does. I suspect you don't have these things. Otherwise, this thread never would've been started.

I suggest you pick a key dog in each race you bet and play 3 or 4 other canines with that key in quinellas. I think you can have fun that way and still have a chance to win.

the dog pools are primarily pretty low so if you drop a few bucks into the pools it will make a dent...so keep bets low unless you want 1/5 on everything. tri/super/multi race exotics often pay the whole pay on a single ticket due to the lack money in the pools
