Doesn't nova -2 look too easy? Give me your thoughts?

Nova at home from the better conference. Not sure what Ucla does better than nova. Nova pretty much better in every category. Ucla hasn't looked impressive lately. Also worth noting they didn't fare well away from home. Any major thoughts?

My brain tells me Nova rolls, but UCLA is just one of those fucking teams that show up when not expected too..

I mean the fact that this is a home game for Nova and the line is only -2 should tell you something.
Nova has no inside presence and teams with inside presence are the teams that give UCLA trouble. If Nova wants to run UCLA has the athletes and shooters to run and gun with anybody out there.
The key will be UCLA's performance in the first 5 minutes of each half. Nova will come out with massive energy I assume to begin each half and if UCLA can withstand that then they are good.

Exactly, line makes me wonder.. I'm hoping to see the line move to 2.5 or maybe even 3 by tomorrow.. If not my confidence is down..

I pretty much agree but think Nova has a little more room for error than you think.. Solid post from you nonetheless, I can see you are sharp regarding the Bruins.

still regardless, I think I have to stay away from this game. Both of these teams are streaky and neither has a clear advantage, the only clear advantage is the homecourt for Nova.
Im interested in the total for this game though as I can see it being a play on the over as UCLA typically gets low lines, but this will be a game where UCLA will run and the scoring willbe high.

shit was hoping for something in the 130s, don't know if I can play that number, pretty sharp one but definitely attainable.
I think I just have to stay away from this game.

I know man, my luck has been real shitty this season.. Lost so many close games I had to quit for awhile..

Fucking Nova, hopefully they show up, if so they win IMO.

Was not impressed at all by UCLA the other night. Seems like they have no inside offensive presence. That's what kept VCU in the game when they kept UCLA in a half court set. When VCU toughend up their D on the perimeter, UCLA could not get the ball inside to loosen up anything on the perimeter. UCLA offense seems to be transtion/run off of defence , hot outside shooting with screens and Collision driving to the hole and creating. If Nova palys a the way they are capable of playing IE no bad turnovers , decent shooting outside (no quick bad shots). Renoylds and Cunningham(inside/outside) should be able to take care of UCLA.

Nova at home and UCLA playing in the east should help them! I agree if Nova brings their best, they win by 8-10 points....probably why I will be on them and they will leave a huge steamer on the court!!!!!

LVSC (who recommends lines to casinos) thinks UCLA is the better team and would be a 1pt fave on a "real" neutral court. Looks like they think the Philly advantage is worth 3pts....

LAS VEGAS SPORTS CONSULTANTS
LVSC Rank Team Tournament Seed Rating

9 UCLA 6 134.8
14 Villanova 3 133.9

I really like UCLA in this spot w/ the better coach, better d, and tons of tourney experience.

I'm not too sure of that.. UCLA defense has their defensive issues as well especially away from Pauley..

Nova actually has a much better Def FG%

Formatting got f'd up....LVSC ranks UCLA as the 9th best team in the country, ahead of all the 3 and 4 seeds and behind only the 1 and 2 seeds. All over UCLA.

I do agree with the LVSC.....but Im not so sure about the BETTER coach...I think Jay Wright is about as good as it gets...and the tourney experience is equal....Nova was in the sweet 16 last year....the turnover every year with these kids is equal....like I said, Im on Nova...which means NOTHING!

Gyno - After looking at the stats, d is a toss-up. No real advantage.

Gasm - If Howland isn't a better coach, he is certainly more accomplished (which is why he is better IMO). He rebuilt Pitt and UCLA and has led them to 3 straight final 4's

Dude.....Im sooooo NOT taking anything away from Howland....hes very accomplished....totally agree.....Im just saying they are pretty equal...I dont see it as a big of advantage I guess as you do....maybe just because he's older? I dont know....I think Jay Wright is as good as there is....especially in the Big East.....

I think they're pretty equal as well.. I'm a big Howland supporter too.

Jay is very capable, he has the team this season too.

From a strategy/gameplan standpoint, they're probably equal, but extra experience goes a long way in what the experts think should be a close game.

Just think there is a lot of value on UCLA as the dog in this game.
