Yes, like boxer said, cellphones broken against the floor, holes in the wall, broken remote controls, pacing around the house screaming at the TV, all this over the years she found out pretty quick.
I had a huge portion of my bankroll on the Chicago Cubs at the Marlins about a week or 2 ago. Zambrano started against some scrub from the Marlins. The Cubs took a 6-0 lead in 2 innings when Zambrano hurts his back taking a homerun cut while batting. They bring in Jeff S. from the bullpen who is one of the worst pitchers I've ever seen in my life. In about 3 or 4 innings the game is 6-5 Cubs. They finally take Jeff out and the bleeding stops. In the top of the 9th the Cubs finally get some support runs with 2 outs Theriot hit a 2 run double to make it 8-5.
In the bottom of the 9th, the Cubs get 2 quick outs and there is nobody on base. For some reason I still have a really bad feeling. My wife is like "its over, the game is over, there is 2 outs and no way the Marlins can come back". She is not understanding why I am refusing to speak. Next batter, homerun, 8-6. Next 2 batter get singles. Then for whatever retarted reason, the outfield decides to play shallow with the tying run on first base. Hanley Ramirez had been taken out of the game and the guy that came up Beneficiado I think, who has no power, hits a line drive that goes over the center fielders head and against the wall. I'm now looking at a 8-8 game with the losing run on third, Cody Ross up. He grounds out to third. Extra innings. Next inning, first batter up was Derrick Lee and he quickly calms my ever brewing anger with a homerun deep to left center. Cubs won 9-8, but wow it was close. It would have been a broken TV game.
My wife couldn't believe how I had called the 2 out 3 run comeback by refusing to talk and feeling like I was going to lose the game even at that point. I just had a terrible feeling. And it came true. I was lucky to win. Dam Zambrano if he wouldn't have gotten hurt I would have won that one easily.
