because he attacks them like the black plaque.

BO, if you take billions of dollars from them to pay for your expanded government;

1) people will lose jobs
2) more jobs will be exported
3) companies will relocate in order to compete in a global economy
4) venture capital will venture elsewhere
5) more people will lose jobs
6) your tax revenues will dwindle while the dependency on your programs increase
7) that job loss thing makes our unemployment rate look like Europe's and will remind people of Jimmy Carter

we gonna get bought out more and more as things progress due to what has already been done

BUD a good example of this

on the left you got communism

on the right you got fascist capitalism a rigged game where the big corporations/banks etc...are favored and get favors from government either directly or indirectly like going to war in iraq that was no direct threat, ethanol from corn (most of it goes to corporate farms)....while the taxpayer picks up the bill....

either way lose lose for the average joe

Maybe he should look at Michigan before he opens his mouth and see what happens when you do as he is saying he would do.

Do you mean the corporations that artificially inflate the prices on energy, food, healthcare, and medicine?

Do you mean the corporations that export good paying jobs overseas and influence politicians for open borders to ensure an endless supply of slave labor from mexico. The middle-class then deals with overcrowded schools, increased crime, and an overall lower standard of living.

Do you mean the corporations that get subsidized and bailed out with our tax money? i.e. big oil, haliburton, bear sterns, indymac, airlines, auto manufacturers, etc.

Do you mean the corporations that pay minuscule amounts of taxes in relation to their profits?

Do you mean the corporations like Enron and Countrywide that pay their CEOs $40 million/year while the corporate accountants are cooking the books? In the meantime the employees will lose their jobs and entire 401ks when the stocks tank right after the CEO sells his shares.

I believe in a free market but this fascist capitalism has destroyed our company and McCain will ensure this continues under his watch.

Trickle Down economics do not work.

A rising tide raises all boats, take a breath and look at America's greatness.
It is the best system in the world. Take advantage of all the opportunities you have, and stop thinking a fucking politician is going to solve your problems. You need to solve your problems.

Allow me to quote the chosen one.

"This country of ours has more wealth than any nation, but that's not what makes us rich. We have the most powerful military on Earth, but that's not what makes us strong. Our universities and our culture are the envy of the world, but that's not what keeps the world coming to our shores.
Instead, it is that American spirit - that American promise - that pushes us forward even when the path is uncertain;"

You see, even the Democrats know deep down inside what we've accomplished, they just need to spin it otherwise.

I love that 5 million new jobs stuff, like they actually have a fucking clue.

The country will be pursuing alternative energy sources on it's own, when the markets can support it, no presidential policy is going to change that.

I happen to believe the country is ready to pursue alternative sources, and such will happen regardless of who is in office.

A rising tide raises all boats

lots of boats being raised... seriously the many are hurting right now while the few make more than they have ever before.

the rising tide is drowning some of the other boats. small business owners cannot pass along price increases fast enough, or at all, due to the price of fuel. medium sized companies can hardly afford to offer insurance to their employees because the premium continues to climb while the copay goes up...

the insurance companies, the doctors and the drug companies are in boats that are being raised by the tide but the guy who lost his benefits because his company could not afford to cover more than 25% of the premium and he can't afford the extra hundred bucks a month because he is spending it in gas... that guy is drowning.

a rising tide used to lift all boats but times change and you have to change with them. generalizations will lead to blind ignorance and blind ignorance will lead to more of the same a few boats going up and the rest capsizing trying to figure out how to stay afloat.

more taxes of corporations terrifies me... who ultimately pays for those taxes? i hear ya... what scares me more is if nothing changes. if we keep waiting for the market to correct itself. for competition to lower premiums, prices, gallons... how irresponsible is it tho to opt for 4 more years of sitting back and hoping something will happen when there is a chance you can put someone else in place that might force something to happen.

anyway i am sure i am wrong and you are all right but i know that the many are hurting and the few are thriving and it would be nice if somehow that leveled out a little bit.

I don't think my response had anything to do with "believing", and more to do with what will happen and when regardless of who is President.

However, I did question the 5 million new jobs stuff, that's right out of the Clintonian book on politics, just through some wild ass number out there and say it so often the poppycock becomes the truth.
