I honestly can say that good day or bad, I have come to view as similar. I have taken a long term view and my mood doesn't change much even after a decent loss(easy 4 figs). I wasn't always like this but have come to realize that there are going to be ups and downs. Bad beats bother me but little else.

The one that really got me this year was that rain out in Oakland...the game had like 20+ runs and the over was in the bag around the 5th inning, game gets called early in Oak Ca.

just sickening.

Bad beats obviously hurt, but seriously the best bettors will lose 4 out of 10 bets. What good does it do to let it bother you?

Only when I have used bad money management. I try and keep the gambling emotions in check and the best way I have found to do this is by avoiding bad MM.

I bet the Padres tonight, just because of Peavy. Some time of delay for an hour + after 2 innings. Just started again, I gotta imagine he wont be back out there.

Journeyman had posted about a beat because the game got rained out. Seemed similar to the Peavy thing tonight.

I guess as I was responding to his post specifically I shoulda used the quote function. I'm still learning.

Back to the point of the thread though..Losing doesn't bother me much. I remember in College getting pretty sick over bets.

Koi, I thnk losses don't bother you cause you don't bet over your head......correct? For those of us who are always trying to cover stuff up and need the money for other things, losses hurt.....

Yeah I'm pretty good at betting within my means. Certainly in College even though it was only $10 to $50 bets, it was money I either didn't have or needed like crazy.

Now once in a while on the bigger bets I get a little juice going, but nothing like back then.

Koi, you make a good point. When I was in college a 50 dollar loss felt rough. Looking back on it, your perspective changes quite a bit.
