Does gambling dull the other 'senses' ?

I think ever since I started gambling, some 15 years ago...I don`t quite get the same rush out of other things I am into....I think gambling has caused this and I don`t particularly like it...

I wonder if anyone else has noticed this, it seems when I am gambling I am "plugged in"...Nothing else has given me that kind of feeling...Of course I have never done drugs so that may be why

But seriously, I believe gambling has watered down my senses for other excitement, nothing matches the high

Actually the gambling rush for me dates back to 7th grade,lol...We use to "match" coins, it was high stakes, a nickle at a time...And if I was really brave it was a quarter per match...And it could be a long day if I went 0 for 4 and lost my whole dollar of lunch money...

When i'm in the zone, not sure if dull is the word, but I do not care about anything else going on around me.
