if they peg you as a dog player, do you get the "normal" lines?

After speaking with a close friend of mine, who I consider a sharp player, he is dealt a different set of lines at BoDog than the average square player.

Perhaps, someone can confirm this. I know Bowman's uses this policy as well.

Hope this helps.

Yes, and they do so rather quickly too.

Yes Bodog, bowmans and bet365 deal two sets of lines. These books place a cookie in your system so you see the set they want you to see. Deleting the cookie will allow you to see the normal lines but their system will change the line when you click on it.

I have often wondered if all the trouble the books take to manage 2 sets of lines is worth it.

It has been discussed and confirmed several times that BoDog is a dual-line book and after a few favorite bets, you can get some value with the dogs once they have profiled you.

I went to Bo Dogs site and I cannot find any links to their limits on the various sports. I do think that they wait till tuesday night to put up college lines. Can anyone that uses BD confirm or deny what the limits are on various sports? Thanks. LT

Bigbet, going good except for a cold spell since The Bash. We need to hang in there. How can Bo Dog claim to be a top shelf book with limits like that? I will call tomorrow to see what the deal is. LT

Would be curious to know if there were two posters on this website who knew each other and both had accounts with the subject book....and both had different gambling habits that would lead to a second set of numbers....

...then maybe a simple phone call to each other to confirm what line they were each seeing on the website...

...lot of qualifiers in that equation but curious to know if anyone has tried that with thier outs.....surely two people here could compare notes???

Somebody mentioned a story relating to what I mentioned, can't remember if it was here or another forum.....2 friends had accounts at the same place and visited the books website from different computers at the same time from the same building....one had a game at -12 and the other was given -12.5-----anyone here remember this thread????

Read this thread.
Checked the line on tonights game at Bodog (it was after the game started, but it still showed on their site):

KC -4.5 -1.15.

Deleted the Bodog cookie on the computer.
Rechecked the line:

KC -5.0 -1.05

I am pretty sure the -4.5 -1.15 was the sharp line and the -5.0 -1.05 is the square line.

How retarded is that???
They are borderline too dumb to deal two lines.

Academic - because it's the same line. If you see -5 -105 and want -4.5 pay the dime for the half point and you have -4.5 -115. Same goes the other way - see 4.5 -115 - pay the dime for +5 you lay -105.

You are alot better off laying -5.0 -1.05 than -4.5 -1.15. No way is that 1/2 point worth 10 cents.

I think they have a bad auto pilot on their sharp line. No way are those two lines equivalent.

Long haul your return on investement is alot higher on the -5.0 -1.05 for NFL, preseason or regular season.

In fact, your are probably better of laying -5.0 -1.05 than -4.5 -1.10.

If you are an underdog player, there is NO better book than SIA.

I'm not sure of their limits or if they will cut you loose if you are a professional player, but SIA has very tempting underdog lines.

They will boot you once you reach about 15k in winnings. I was booted a couple years ago. Back then, I believe limits were 500 for sides and 200 for totals. Not sure what they are nowadays.

Blue,

Yes, that's exactly what they do. What do you think of the ethics of that?

I think it's downright despicable -- not the dual line itself but the secrecy behind it. They pretend they have standard juice when in fact it's much worse. Basically they lie to and deceive the player -- that's my problem with it.
