This "energy" crisis is making a mess out of our economy.
I hold Bush partially responsible, but where has the do nothing Congress been? Both Republicans and Democrats have disappeared - they've ducked their responsibility on this matter by blaming big oil while doing nothing to alleviate the problem.
They say that any steps they take today won't start to impact our economy or provide extra gasoline for 4 or 5 years - but isn't this the same thing they said 4 or 5 years ago when this crisis began?
This crisis has been long in the making and quite predictable: The growing Chinese economy has been taking a larger annual bite out of avilable resources since the 90's. The price for gasoline hit $2 a gallon in 2004 and has been on a slow rise since then.
The only solution is to get rid of all the bums!
