If you ask My Wife, she will say I Collect Everything !!
That's because I have stuff that I just put away, in case somewhere down the line I need it.

I use to collect Sports cards...Stopped in 2001
So I have cards that are from the early 60's to just around 2001

I also collect Stamps, but stopped that too.
I have some Old Coins as well. But Both I haven't even looked at for Years.

I don't know how famous this is with the older generations, but sneaker collecting is huge. Obviously you dont wear them you keep them "deadstock" and put them away. Rare sneakers that have a "tier zero" or very limited release are extremely hard to get but extremely expensive. It's also a great way to make money. If you can get your hands on a tier zero sneaker and lets say the price is $200 you can go home with the sneaker and even sometimes walk out of the store and sell them to someone that didn't get them for around triple the original cost. The store near me that gets tier zero sneakers in used to let people camp outside the store for 3 and 4 days prior to the release and thats how you would get them. Now you have to be one of the first 75 people on the Wednesday before the Saturday release date and you get a number. Then you go back Saturday and they pick 18 or so numbers out of hat and obviously if your number gets called you get the pair of kicks.

I'm with Dante, only coins...mainly US

perhaps gambling books also.... both paper books with pages, and sportsbooks.

I did collect LV gambling tokens ( at face value only), for awhile... lost to burglars.

I've known people that have collected some more unusual stuff:

Matchbooks
Hats
Beach sand
cans/bottles
hood ornaments/hubcaps
cats
fossils
T-shirts
insects
rocks
etc.

Dante: The silver dollars are all mostly high grade ( Xf,AU,Unc), because they were too big and heavy to circulate. The coin was largely minted due to political reasons....sort of a deal with the silver mining industry of the time. You could get BU bags at face up to the early 60's. Some dates are more common in BU condition than circulated.

Actually similar to all these Presidential dollars being produced now, that never leave a bank vault.
