Just be respectful to them...that will decrease the chance of that happening

If your a demanding Asshole to them the risk goes up of that happening IMO

I tend to worry when I have to give my mother's maiden name on top of all the other credit card details. When I reported a lost credit card, this was how the CC company was assured it was me. Now there could be as many as 50 Costa Ricans who could impersonate me in my credit card dealings and they could do anything they want with my account. Not a pleasant thought.

A sportsbook owner(s) was caught putting in losing bets to a customer's account. Maybe somebody else remembers the details.

I believe most sportsbooks record the IP address where the bet was placed. Thus if you are in the US and a bet was placed from say Costa Rica, within a time frame where you could not have moved between the two locations, then it is fairly obvious to the book that your account has been compromised.

This has happened to me due to technical problems at a book which I will not name. Basically accounts were being switched and my account was drained. As I recall it took a week or so to resolve and refund my account in full.
