I don't quite understand the line and I think Randy Shannon's guys match up pretty damn well over what is surely an inflated line based on recent results for the Cavaliers.

I mean Miami has played well enough and this is a great spot for them to catch bettors off guard.

Thinking of pounding this play.:pope:

Would love for some UVA and Miami fans or locals to chime in.

Why bet against UVA? They are playing well and not winning with smoke and mirrors. They have been moving the ball and playing good D too. UVA is always tough at home and DA U sucks in the north when the weather gets cold.

Betting against them because at this point they are overrated with their recent play.

How do you know they are overrated? Maybe they are just an improved team?? If they were winning with mirrors, I'd really agree with you. But they have outgained league foes by 70 yards per game. This looks like a solid football team at this point in the season. Much improved squad.

like uva myself, simulated the game down at the dog park with a frisbee and the golden retriever I designated as Peerman could not be stopped.

For me it's more Miami's ability to stop UVA and score points off turnovers. Although UVA won at GT, the Yellow Jackets shot themselves in the ass too many times in that game and the Jackets defense suffered because of Nesbitt's turnovers. I think Miami can shut down the Cavs offensively and score enough points of their own. Miami's D has been stout lately.

UVA embarrassed Miami in their final game at the Orange Bowl just last season in front of MANY ex-Hurricanes. They haven't forgotten that!!

Miami has had lots of nationally televised games, notably a tight game with Florida early in the year in which they kept it close with the Gators through 3 quarters - then you have their recent win over Wake Forest, etc.

Nobody has really seen much of UVA. Not many national games if any. Most people are only aware of their huge blowout loss to USC and subsequent losses after and wrote them off. Their wins have gone under the radar recently. Even last year, nobody gave them credit because they never blew anyone out. All this team does is play solid football and win, very similar to Wake when they were on the rise and people were writing them off because they were Wake.

Miami is by far the more public team, and they are overvalued. Miami's offense can be horrific. HORRIFIC.

Then factor in this:

Miami's game of the year they circled was Wake last week. It was home, and they wanted to prove they could hang with the best of the ACC. They got their tight win, it was emotional for them and now they travel on the road to UVA, who has been an outstanding home team.

The only reason I would consider this play is because Miami may want revenge on UVA's 38-0 drubbing last year in the final game at the Orange Bowl.

But then again, it's hard to believe Miami has closed the gap that much since that game was played at the end of last season.

I watched the Canes/Wake game last week, and was surprised and impressed with the Canes performance. A young team that has some talent....With that being said, I would think there are better games on the board to bet than this game....I think it will be a close game....can't see Miami winning three in a row personally.

But you see VA winning 5 in a row?
