2024 Los Angeles Dodgers World Series ...

Small print 2024. Rawlings, official baseball. Sitting on my desk. I'm betting it gets a twin this year.,

Dodgers over 4.5 tonight. Dodgers to win series. Talk of Springer in past tense. Oblique got him. Easier to pitch around Vlady jr.

Will Tor walk Shohei in first inning? Only thing comprable 2002 world series Barry Bonds walked 7 times intentionally, hit 470, I saw 2 games. There was even talk of walking him with bases loaded.

One last thing. Can we stop with comparing Ohtani to the babe.

Babe got to the majors at 20. Done pitching at 24. That year he hit something like 15 hr. From there on, babe was strictly a hitter.

Arod said in the pregame, "I have to apologize to Shohei, he belongs in a higher league, and this is all we have to offer him." Sure tongue in cheek.
But pay attention, we are witnessing something thats never happened before and may not happen again for some time. But the era of forcing 12, 13 y/o's to pick pitching or hitting is over. At that age, not uncommon for best hitter to also be top pitcher. Until they were told they had to choose. No more.

Didn’t Babe also get off the train drunk and play every game. Lol

No pop in those bats tonight and the middle of the Dodgers order has been abysmal.

Toronto wins this series if Mookie Muncy and Edman continue being anemic at the plate..id also add freeman dispite the walkoff last night

I've been a dodger fan since age 5, at Ebbits field, The team came to LA about 7 years after my family.
1958.
So trust me, this hurts, Dodgers aren't toast.....but they are toast adjacent. I see too many reasons why they won't win, to gin up some false hope. Hitting and pitching, muscle memory dependent, that when its going bad, its tough to get ity back. Like a golfer with yips, or steve sax, suddenly unable to throw from 2b to first without throwing it in the seats. Toronto, right now the better team. Yet they are small dogs tonight. +122

Helen kubler-Ross, famous author and psychologist, gave me a copy of her book, She was out walking on the beach in front of my house. This might help you understand your emotions in the face of a serious loss;

I'm at #3 depression. LOL...every gambler I've ever known has ridden this particular escalator. And I'd bet each of you can pinpoint all 5 of those feelings. Nice thing about gambling is you are 1 bet away from your next hot streak, unlike when someone you love, passes away.

bol 2 all. Start that streak

What are the five stages of grief?

Denial

Feeling numb is common in the early days after a bereavement. Some people at first carry on as if nothing has happened. Even if we know with our heads that someone has died it can be hard to believe that someone important is not coming back. It’s also very common to feel the presence of someone who has died, hear their voice or even see them.

Anger

Anger is a completely natural emotion, and very natural after someone dies. Death can seem cruel and unfair, especially when you feel someone has died before their time or you had plans for the future together. It’s also common to feel angry towards the person who has died, or angry at ourselves for things we did or didn’t do before their death.

Bargaining

When we are in pain, it’s sometimes hard to accept that there’s nothing we can do to change things. Bargaining is when we start to make deals with ourselves, or perhaps with God if we’re religious. We want to believe that if we act in particular ways we will feel better. It’s also common to find ourselves going over and over things that happened in the past and asking a lot of ‘what if’ questions, wishing we could go back and change things in the hope things could have turned out differently.

Depression

Sadness and longing are what we think of most often when we think about grief. This pain can be very intense and come in waves over many months or years. Life can feel like it no longer holds any meaning which can be very scary.

Acceptance

Grief comes in waves and it can feel like nothing will ever be right again. But gradually most people find that the pain eases, and it is possible to accept what has happened. We may never ‘get over’ the death of someone precious, but we can learn to live again, while keeping the memories of those we have lost close to u

Last add, the bet that nearly put me in a rubber room was the 2006 rose bowl, Texas vs USC. The game was to decide the national championship

I had a large bet on USC. They were up 2 scores with practically no time left. Texas gets a td, then has the ball at the 30, USC mounted a great rush, and Vince Young scrambled, as time runs out.....td. I can still close my eyes and see him weaving into the endzone, I was maybe 50 ft away. final Tex 41- usc 38

bol 2 all.

Best world series game I have ever watched. So many times both teams could have won or lost, on 1 play in the field. Rojas is only the 2nd player ever to hr, in 9th inning to tie or take the lead. Smith caught more innings in this series than any catcher ever. So many players were struggling at bat.

Dodgers first team to go over 1 billion in revenue. Dodgers have the #1 farm system. So the team of my youth, will be in the mix for years to come.

4 plays yo cherish (or hate depending on your area code

1. top of 9th, bieber over cautious not wanting ohtani to hit with a man on, feeds rojas a gopher ball.

2. bottom 9th force at home, circus catch at the wall. rojas throws home after stumbling and just nips the potential winning run at home. The next hitter hits a deep fly to deep center kiki won't get there, Pages (mr mendosa) flies to the wall runs over kiki put catches the ball.

3. 10th had drama, but the real action is in the 11th. Smith homers, giving dodgers their first lead 5-4

4. bottom 11th guerrero doubles, hes bunted to third, the next batter walks, bring uo Kirk, the fireplug who runs like the wind (not). He breaks his bat and rolls one to betts, who flys across 2nd and fires to first. game, series over. Just before the kirk ab, the announcer said, "this series can end in either direction on this at bat. kirk is built like a fireplug, but he can sure hit.

I'm still breathless, and in total disbelief.

My dodgers world series ball now gets a mate,

bol guys. I mean wow!!!

I’ve been a Dodger fan for my entire life. My first visit to Blue Heaven was at age 7.
I have nothing but respect for the Bluejays and their fan base.

This game 7 and the entire Series was incredible baseball!
I’ll see you at the parade on Monday! 🏆🏆🏆

Been meaning to put this in here for two days.
