Like I said before read the classic threads, and 6 point teasers at even money 6.5 at -110 are extremely profitable. A seven point dog could pay as high as +265 on moneyline! Easy money! They wouldn't raise the juice if it was a suckers bet.

why do you think your local bookies that have those little parlays sheets where you got to pick at least 3 teams to get you hook on gambling, you dont win in the long run, both are for suckers

this week in Vegas Sports Newsletter....in the ask Jimmy Vaccaro segment he's asked about teasers with sportsbooks ... they (books) get killed in nfl and win big money in ncaaf and have even discussed changing the rules betting NFL teasers

"In any business that you’re in, whenever you’re getting your brains beat in, you’ve always got to have a healthy discussion about making some changes to offset some of the losses. The only one hurts and has been hurting for quite awhile is the NFL 7-point teasers, because the teams are bunched up so close together now. I would say in about 60 percent of NFL games, we’re paying both sides of the teasers because they come so close together. And I’ve always said this, but most of the time in NFL games, the score at the end seems to always get back to the closing line, no matter what it takes to get there. Now with college teasers, you could book them with no money. I’ve been saying this for 40 years. You can’t win betting them. When you change something like that, you have to notify the gaming commission beforehand. Every sportsbook can use whatever they want to so long as it’s posted in the rules and you follow the proper procedures. Just because one casino makes a change doesn’t mean the others have to make the same change. We aren’t making any changes to them here at the South Point. But always check the rules at your sportsbook.”

I play far more teasers than parlays, and only in the nfl when i am seeing value. If i am seeing a teaser only say giving me 1 or 2 points in the plus column then there is no value there while needing another team to come in to be a winner. So if that's the case i might as well bet those teams straight up.....In the parlay wagering i usually only play ML parlays as i like to pick spots where i can be confident mixing favs and dogs together to getting a decent payout.

In the college game i am only a 10 pt teaser player, and i avoid the other point teasers as i feel in college teams, they are going to win comfortably or lose badly but in the right situations a 10 pt teaser can be very helpful,...but there are not a lot of those value type plays out there,so its not a every week play.

Poundfoolish and Carolinakid need to learn more about betting. Teasers can be very good if you know what you are doing. Look at the difference between a ml parlay of two -6pt favs (-300) vs a 6pt teaser with the same games. Not all point spreads should be teased. Some have no value, some have very good value.

I don't do either. I like straight bets, thats it. But I'd probably like a teaser better than a parlay.

Nothing wrong with playing either if the situation is right. They are just more tools in the toolbox when used appropriately.

I'll play a teaser every now and then. My two favorites to play are a 2 team 6 point teaser (pays even money where I play) and the 3 team 10 point teaser for -120 but has to be college and can only be bet as a 3 teamer.

I actually have a 2 team 7 point teaser going today. Notre Dame -6 (at Bost. Coll.) and Minnesota -3 ( hosting Mid Tenn. St.)

ND coming off a loss and Minnesota hosting a small school is the reasoning...however the Bost. College game could be tight. I could see ND winning by only a field goal but I'm playing it anyway.
