do you feel bad making bets with friends or co workers with horrible odds

Twice in the past 2 weeks Ive been offered bets with horrible odds and the other person acts like they are pulling one over on me.

I got the field vs the chiefs to win the superbowl (bet was for chipolte)

i got denver +20 vs the pats today (buffalo wild wings)


now sure each bet could lose, but so drastically away from true odds i couldnt even be mad if they did lose.

Happens all the time to me at work because 99% of the public are clueless. Normally I tell them how stupid their bet is but take it anyway


Most of the time it has to do with fandom. A guy will take his team "straight up" even though they are 8 point dogs.

A long time ago back when $500 meant something I had a buddy bet me $500 and he was saying Florida St. would cover every game but one during the football season. So I just bet $50 a game on Florida St. and they hit I think 7 weeks in a row before going 2 weeks without covering and I had my bet + an extra $250. I didn't feel bad.
