dale: Let me tell you a little story about being fuked in the a$$. Last night i had the under and the Cowboys. 16-7 start of the fourth Cowboys, final 28-24 Gmen. I am just as p*ssed as you. I posted in another thread that if VT had gotten that 2 point conversion, it would have been better for Auburn backers. No way they get that late touchdown.

It should not be a surprise that they scored that TD is what I am saying.

Mighty - I had the Dallas/Under play too, to me that was more painful because it was 3 TDs and a 2 point conversion to lose it.

The game tonight maybe was a fluky play - but then were the Auburn people crying when VT missed the 20 yard FG?

Like you say there is another game tomorrow. Or the next. Or next year.

t3fa: I played a unit and half last night. I got home around 4:00 cst and said the hell with it I am laying 2 1/2 units on Va Tech tonight. Left at 5:30 to officiate a high school basketball game. Got home for the 2nd half and saw Auburn score almost immediately to start half. I was pissed. Went to Subway got something to eat, came back saw the Va Tech missed FG, really pissed almost seething. Then who knows what the hell happens, somehow someway the Hokies cover. Amazing. The life of a gambler. I love it.

Sure some dogs are live. However, VT is a highschool team compared to auburn. How could you think that auburn would not outscore them by a touchdown?

Seems to me YOU were the stupid one for not betting on VT considering VT cashed the ticket!!

With regard to questioning someone's handicapping skills, perhaps you need to check yours....To me it only made sense to take the offered points in a game that would in all likelyhood be low scoring when considering that each team had been off for a month and each team's defense was ranked in the top 5 in the nation.

You can cry LUCKY all you want but the last time I checked there's still 60 minutes in a football game and your wager is predicated on what happens wtih in those 60 minutes...not what happens in the first half or the first three quarters.

Not to mention that VT had more total yards, more 1st downs, and 299 passing yards! Auburn let a high school team pass for 300 yards? That's one damn good high school team.

The fact of the matter is that the teams were very evenly matched and the smart bet was to take the points.
