Even their own? I think all cons want to do is kill, kill, kill, and make money doing it! The only ones they really care about, I guess are the 'unborn'! That is, until they are 'born'! Have a nice day! Which is impossible for cons because it's not a good day unless you are really, really hating! Where is all the love? Cut and paste that!

Republicians care about money, country music, God (the real God) apple pie and at the moment stopping all that Muslim love. Some of us, no all, love arithmetic and reading! We all don't like The Beach Boys's music to much.

I was at the Inaugural Ball for Ronald Reagan! The Beach Boys were Ronny and Nancy's favorites! They were the featured group at their first Ball! :drink: Maybe that was the 'old' Republicans that liked the BB's!

Your correct. Had my facts wrong on that one. I now love Beach Boy music. I will now put one of their songs on and play it "in my room"

I'm really getting tired of all this judging of Republicans on this site. There are a-holes in both parties, and there are great people in both parties. I vote Republican, because I agree with their principles more than I do Democrat principles. This country is never going to get over this great division until people see other people as fellow Americans, not Democrats or Republicans. I was deeply affected by 9/11, but the one good thing that came out of it was the uniting of Dems and Reps as Americans. It lasted for about a month. Then both sides were back to the hate for the other party.

Capn- Most Republicans are not as you say they are, and there is no substance to your post in this thread. But I forgive you. Now it's time to walk the walk and show some love to fellow Americans who may disagree with you on some issues.

Ilini - you're right! This caustic political environment is very divisive!

That being said, sometimes such a caustic atmosphere will occur as the national idealogy moves along it's course and the representative parties go through a painful philosophical metamorphosis.

The Democrats used to be "liberals" in the finest traditional sense, but somewhere along the political the road they lost their principled way as they were taken over by by the extremist leaders of supporting special interest groups; they're no longer representative of the national will, and they're suffering the pangs that loss of recognition, prestige, mand most especially, votes, present.

The Democrat leaders have offered nothing besides the same tried old crap, the same offensive rhetoric, and an inability to recognize that it's now a time to be pragmatic in their negotiations.

Instead of fighting to keep what they can, they're fighting everything as hard as they can, and losing most of the battles they fight.

Just as the Repiblicans went through a period of adjustment where the old ideologues were ultimately supplanted by Reagan revolutionaries, the Democrats now must undergo their own revolution.

Meanwhile, the party loyalists are reflecting the tactics their leadership uses and the Republicans are fighting back.

When Teddy K et al lose their power and are replaced with a more pragmatic group, you can plan on more of the same - because the dinosaurs that lead the party have proven that they can't adjust and evolve.

The only thing elite Republicans care about is government contracts and bigger tax breaks for the groups that support them. The only social issues that they care about are the ones where they can tell other people how to live their lives and rally their core over. The problem for the average Republican is that they think that this administration really cares about their specific demographic. In reality it comes down to making them believe around each election for a couple of months to get the votes is all it is. Everyday life then gets worse after that vote for those target groups as all the money grabbing that goes on during these periods for the elite puts the squeeze on All BUT A FEW AMERICANS DEMS OR REPUBS.

This administration has to keep it devisive to keep the agenda flowing and the talk away from what really is important to everyday life in 2005 U.S.A.

The Republicans used to be "conservatives" in the finest traditional sense, but somewhere along the political the road they lost their principled way as they were taken over by by the extremist leaders of supporting special interest groups; they're no longer representative of the national will, but they're propped up by the powerful religous right and big corporate interests. No longer the party of smaller government and personal liberties.

The reason they hated Clinton and spent all the money through Ken Starr and bringing a blow job into public awareness was that the "Fleasing of America" was interrupted for 8 years. Hard to earn when your boys aren't holding the keys.

Blow Job Lie = Impeach Hearings

Going to War Lies = Dead soldiers and biggest deficit

Illini: I respect you and your opinions! Maybe Repubs are different where you are, I hope, but I doubt it! The ones I talk to are usually clones of O'reilly, Hannity or Limbaugh! They never talk of hope, compassion or charity! Always about war, war, war, and saving 'unborns', just so they can abandon them when born! Show me where I am wrong, please!

And there's the difference!

Cap.n Commie says "They never talk of hope, compassion or charity! Always about war, war, war, and saving 'unborns', just so they can abandon them when born! Show me where I am wrong, please!"

Hope, charity and compassion all start at home - they're built on a foundation of love and personal responsibility; they come from caring and commitment. We don't give charity and compassion to those who want to kill us in the hope that they'll leave us alone; we, kill them and which gives everyone hope that we'll have a more charitable and compassionate future.

Do I want to see fewer abortions - yes! But I also belive in a womans right to choose; how about NO abortions after the first six months (with a few noted exceptions).

As as for war, war, war - well, in my selfish mind, I figure that our all volunteer force is going where they must, to do what they have to do - and the war is being fought over there - not here!

Aquatic brings up the Clinton Impeachment - and to what ends. The American people will let their will be known in the voting booth - and so far, they support Bush!

D2 tries a play on my words - and it doesn't work because Bush isn't a true conservative n the traditional sense of the ideological term, just as modern Democrats ARE liberalks in all of the worst terms of the popular meaning. The Republicans are a growing coalition while the Democrats are a shrinking coalition.

Take it for what it is - but both parties represent certain values that the public votes for - and the public likes the values that the Republicans represent, while rejecting the values that the Democrats represent.

Now we can play the name calling game all day, but a smart person would look at the truth and ask what he has to do to bring the Democrat Party back into the mainstream before they go the way of the whigs!!

Well said, Comrade Bblight, compassion, charity and hope do start at home! But none is being given there either! War,war, war, and money, money, money-that should be the republican motto. I've said all along, both parties' leaders are close to being equally worthless! before the election, I talked :103631605 many, many hours with republicans whom agreed with me that whoever wins the election should pull our kids out of this clusterf##k in Iraq! That's really all I care about, to me the rest is politics as usual, stop the war and I'll be plenty happy with whoever is in power and stealing as usual!:103631605

Well said C.C. We agree on the pullout but I say we pull out right know. Pack out bags, take some of their stuff and get out. Then have all the muslim's tossed out of this Country. All of them. And if another one tries to come into our country again we shoot them right on the spot! Just a comment and an opinion.
