How did Artest foul Blake??? Did that mother fucker foul him before he got a 3 pointer off, or did Blake go for 2 for some ungodly reason??

Blake went for 2 and ran straight out of bounds. Artest was standing there with his hands raised and the refs called a foul. The funny thing was that attempted miss free throw that went in. After it went in, The Blazers scream DON'T FOUL, DON'T FOUL!!

Why would he try to miss a FT down 5 with 3 seconds left? It's not like if they got the offensive rebound they could score 5 points. If they were down 3 it would make sense, but not down 5. Very weird.

Very little incentive to make it either. Could get a real quick tip in and then steal it and hit a 3. If he makes it they are gonna lose anyway. Announcers expected him to miss on purpose. Didn't seem fishy me, just unlucky that it still went in.

I didn't think any of it was fishy either. I just don't see the point of missing a FT when you're down 5 with only 3 seconds to go. I mean, the game is over. And if you're going to miss the FT on purpose because you're still trying to come back and tie the game, why wouldn't you foul intentionally after you make the 2nd FT? Very weird all the way around...

he actually tried to miss it. shot it hard off the backboard and it bounced off the inside of the front of the rim. rattled around back and forth and it fell in. the foul on artest should have been an offensive charge and it occured after the shooter traveled.
