Willett shot a great day Sunday. But, this will be remembered as the Masters Spieth lost.

Willet won it. Spieth had 1 BAD hole. That 7 on the par 3. If he just double bogeys, the day easily could have ended differently.

Spieth lost it.

Everyone says the Masters starts on the back 9 on Sunday.

Spieth went BOGEY, BOGEY, QUADRUPLE BOGEY to start the back 9. He ended up losing by 3.

Amazing round by Willett though.

Willet won it. Spieth played awful(by his standards)after his opening round 66. If not for his putter, he would not have even been in contention on Sunday. Willet was the best player this week and deserved to win.

He lost it and knew he was choking it away:

Jordan Spieth told his caddie he could feel himself collapsing during his implosion at the Masters on Sunday.

The American's title defence at Augusta appeared on track until he found trouble on the back nine, following two bogeys with a quadruple bogey at the par-three 12th.

Spieth found water twice to put himself in trouble as he saw a five-shot lead slip away, eventually finishing three behind winner Danny Willett.

Speaking afterwards, the 22-year-old recalled a conversation with caddie Michael Greller as his round fell apart.

"At one point, I told Mike: 'Buddy, it seems like we're collapsing,'" Spieth said.

"I wanted to be brutally honest with the way I felt towards him, so that he could then respond with what is necessary to get us to rebound and he did, and we rebounded.

When he demanded no cameras get pics of his face, that was pretty weak.

Craziest shot was his second shot into the water on 12 after a drop. He chunked it so bad it barely even made it to the water.

5 shot lead making the turn? the field needed help, he gave it to them with a monumental collapse. Jordan was fighting his swing Sat and Sun, specifically off the tee. Couldn't find a swing he could trust.

a good caddie can have a significant effect on the outcome of his player. After his first shot into the water at #12, Jordan must step back, re-group. Caddie MUST play psychologist here. That second shot into the water wasn't even close. Clearly, he wasn't mentally prepared to take that shot.

for me, Jordan lost this tournament. Kudos to Willett tho, hell of a finish 16,17,18

Spieth lost it. not debatable

It's very debatable.

It's not as if Spieth was striping it all day/all week. He'd been fighting that short right miss all week. He had the lead because he misses in the right places and putts the lights out. The problem with 12 is there's no easy bailout. The green is 9 yards deep and you're guessing on the wind. Short is dead unless you hit it in the bunker. Long is dead if you miss the bunker. Stenson lost a ball long on Friday(maybe it was Saturday). Spieth almost lost it right on hole 4 early in the round. If that ball kicks right OB, he's making 5 at best maybe 6 or 7. Instead he got lucky it stayed in play and made a hell of an up and down. My point is, he'd be scrambling his ass off to make up for a lot of iffy shots all week. The second ball in the water at 12 he rushed and I'm sure nerves played a role. Not the case on the first. Willett also shot 67. Best round of the day.

Spieth pissed it away and showed his youth on #12 and afterwards. He's a good kid and I like him, but he showed he was 22 and still just a pup. McIlroy showed some of the same youth when he pissed it away at Augusta a few years ago. It happens. Lets not take anything away from Willet. He shot a 67 and put himself in position for the win in case Spieth faltered. Many players have faltered down the stretch at Augusta over the years. That's why the back 9 is such great theater. Every single golfer in the world has had meltdowns. The game picks on everyone, and I do mean everyone. No one is excluded from the dips, yips, snaps, yaps, push, pulls, chili dips, tops and flops...

Did Spieth lose the Masters...LMAO......What do you think he`s the only one in the tournament?

The final day is 18 holes not 12.....Make your shots no excuses....The Englishmen gets all the credit for making plays down the stretch.

Did a QB who is 25-35, 280 yards, 2 TD, but throws 2 key unforced Redzone Pick 6's late in a game, and his team loses by 6, lose the game, or did the other team win it? I suspect how one feels about 1 would be how one feels about the other. Put me in the camp that Spieth lost.

Spieth choked it away. Willett still shot a 67, but a player that loses a 5 shot lead with 9 to go simply choked away the tournament.

willett deserves all the credit in the world BUT the second shot CHUNKY says it all. spieth is a well grounded classy kid and, hopefully, he will use this as a "life learning" experience. i believe that he will rebound very strongly from this.
