Don, what you are saying is: I could Have Picked 3 Horses and Had a Better Payout Or I Could Have Picked 4 Horses(like I Did) or More For a Lesser Payout?

The payout will be the same. You have a $3 trifecta.....you paid extra, however to add a 4th horse to the mix.

You have all of the possible 3 horse combinations for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd that involve the four horses you selected.

8-4-3 would be a win
4-7-3 would be a win
etc...................................

The payoff is the same....it just costs more to do. If you only used 3 horses to get your combinations it would cost you $18 for a $3 trifecta ($3 x 6 combinations). Because you added a fourth horse, it bought you 18 extra combinations for $54 more ($3 x 18 combinations).
(total =$72 = $3 x 24 combinations)

I do like your chances to win.....as I believe those are the best 4 horses....I do not think that it will pay out very much, however. You need to pray that Street Sense is out of the top 2 or 3 in order to get paid out decent.

I can see this TRIFECTA winning and paying about $120 for a $2 Tri (giving you a $180 win......$108 profit). That would be nice, but not worth the risk in my opinion.

In the event the above was for me, here's your answers:
1) Don't understand what?

2) What time of the day would you like to know about? If you're referring to who I liked and then played, it's listed in My Horse Thread.

3) How do I what?

4) Your tickets/wagers were placed in the trifecta pool. The only way you could cash would be to have the first three horses, despite if you had more, and in this case in any order since you boxed your choices. Prices are listed in $2 payouts, half of that is for the $1 ticket. Certain wagers do not allow $1 tickets.

5) No comment about your last statement.
