what are not his records?lol start with 6 rings in 6 finals appearances.umm scoring titles, over 30+ ppg not for a season or to start a career or a hot streak in the playoffs but for his entire life on the court including a 40+ point game when he has a 100 degree fever and on and on and on.this is a useless discussion.

I'm not putting Wade's name in the same sentence as Jordan. But he's well on his way if he stays on this kind of pace and plays these kinds of games, and he continues to step up when his team needs him most (4th quarter). It's only his 2nd year so all the Jordan talk is definitely premature, but to say he is a zero compared to Jordan sounds like someone who is a pissed of LakersFan who is jealous of losing Shaq, or having Kobe, rather than making rational thoughts.

he is a ZERO counting rings which is why the comparisons are ridiculous for now. There are plenty of guys who have had great games in the playoffs, does that make them the second coming of Jordan? Until the Heat get to the finals and win, Wade is just an exciting player with a lot of potential

naw not jealous at all.i am thankful for what he gave us and wish him the best.but just as we saw with penny in his early years,as well as kobe dont think for one second this is wade.once shaqs gone he's back to the player he should be.not the one shaqs making him.shaq deserves this ring i hope he gets it.wade is a great player but compare him to michael?tell me on any given day you would lay your money on wade over jordan with an even point spread?wade will NEVER break any of jordans records.someone might but it wont be him.

Obviously he has zero rings and the comparisons are ridiculous. Definitely plenty of guys who have carried their teams in the playoffs. Even if he gets to the finals and wins, he still will be just another good player with a finals trophy. I agreed the comparisons are premature. But it's just his 2nd year, and what he is doing against this defense, is phenomenal. How he gets other players involved, how he elevates, how he drives to the basket, he how handles the ball, how he can pull up for jumpers, how he carries his team in the 4th quarter, it's all very very Jordan-esque. But Michael is the best ever, all I am saying is if Wade continues and stays on this pace, he'll be a player worth looking at as "the next coming". Even if he wins the finals and finals MVP, still a bit premature.

Don't think for one second this is Wade? Until tonight Shaq hasn't really gotten much double teams. Shaq hasn't been playing his typical minutes either. Who is responsible for these Heat wins in the playoffs? Wade dropped 40 on one of the best defenses in the game and 20 in one quarter on Tayshaun. He dropped 36 tonight, and made every crucial free throw down the stretch in every game he's had to. 2nd year player. And he doesnt do it like Kobe, he is great at passing and he doesnt even shoot 3-pointers. He drops 28 PPG in these playoffs and he doesnt shoot 3-pointers. Wade makes everyone better around him too, he understand the importance of driving to the basket, and he plays good defense and he can elevate with the best of em.

What player is that? The one that took the same core Heat team that Kobe has now to the playoffs and won the 1st round series on his game winning shots? The same team Kobe couldn't even make the playoffs with? He's also in his 2nd year, havn't even seen the best of him yet.

Not 1 day of my life would I lay 1 dollar on a 2nd year Wade over a Jordan in his prime. I'm not saying Wade IS the next Jordan. All I was saying is give it sometime to play out. He's showing some incredible intangibles that he could be a player similiar to Michael.

Why not Wade? What has he shown you thats so negative that he can't? I'm not guaranteeing he will, but to just rule Wade out immediately is kinda foolish.
Sounds like you just have it out for Wade, and defending Kobe Bryant kind of thing. That's perfectly OK since you are a Laker fan.

defending kobe?lol i put him in the same category in my post as wade and penny and thats the bow down and thank the lord you got saved category.look at the after shaq penny and the after shaq kobe.nothing like they were in the shaq era's and wade is no different.i dont worry bout what year there in.if thats the case isnt lebron the next jordan?once shaq is gone wade goes back to the 18 points a game really nice player but he wont ever be mentioned in the top 50 of all time unless shaq plays 10 more years.that wont happen.

First of all, I don't believe in all of this "the next Jordan" talk. I don't think there will ever be anyone like Michael Jordan. This isn't directed at you, really at the media and everyone. Who says there HAS to be a next Jordan and it's only a matter of time? But besides that, LeBron is f*ckin awesome too, but he has yet to make the playoffs. But he's unbelievable too and has shown all of the intangibles. I'd like to see him make a postseason though and then do damage in the postseason.

The problem with your criticism of Wade is that he made the playoffs as a ROOKIE without Shaq and was the heart of that team. He made the playoffs without Shaq as a rookie, with the same team Kobe couldn't do it with now. He made the game winning shot as a rookie, and took his team to the 2nd round. Now he practically hasn't even had Shaq in these playoffs until last nights game, and he's dominating the playoffs better than anyone this year. Not only did Kobe not even make the playoffs with those Heat guys, but he's got much more experience and a developed game than Wade. Wade's still getting better. He's not even close to his prime yet. The whole Shaq argument is a little far-fetched. Shaq has been a complete non-factor these playoffs, whether it be him not even playing, or him on one leg, he hasn't been double teamed for the most part until last nights game.
I'm totally convinced you just have it out for Wade, and it definitely has something to do with the whole Shaq/Kobe/Lakers thing. And thats fine if its true, fans are fans. But all I ask for is for some kind of rational statement why you think Wade is just another Penny Hardaway. It wasn't too hard to see that Penny was not very good even with Shaq. Regardless of stats, just looking at his talent.

Like I asked earlier, what is it thats so terrible that Wade has showed you to make you think it's all Shaquille O'Neal?

-Wade is a ball hog? No. He gets everyone involved.
-Wade can't play defense? No. He hustles and gets back on defense. He's gotten plenty of recognition for the defensive part of his game as well. He has even blocked 7 footers shots in a few games this year.
-Wade can't pull up and shoot? No. He shows that he can every night and its still getting better.
-Wade can't drive to the basket? No. That's the best part of his game.
-Wade can't get others involved? No. He's awesome at driving to the lane and dishing it off.
-Wade's not a good passer? No. He's a very good passer.
-Wade doesn't do it when it counts? No. All he's done is carry this team in the 4th quarter when they need him most.
-Wade can't take a game over on his own? No. He showed that against the best defense in the league. 20 in the 4th quarter. Kobe couldn't do that against this team, even with Shaq.
-Wade wouldn't even be in the playoffs if it werent for Shaq? No, he lead the Heat to the 2nd round last year without Shaq.
-Wade can't elevate and play above the rim? No. Thats the best part of his game.
-Wade can't dribble, he's a spot up shooter? No. He plays point guard too, and he's probably the best 1 on 1 player in the game.
-Wade is old and he's not fast? No. Hes a 2nd year player, and he's one of the quickest in the NBA.
-Wade can't make adjustments and he gets flustered easily? No. He had his worst game of the year against Detroit, and came back the next game and dropped 40 on them and shown he can make adjustments.
- Wade will never make it because he's got that "me first" mentality and he doesn't have his head screwed on right? No. He's humble and one of the most classiest players in the league.

So once again, I'm asking you a serious question. This has nothing to do with Michael Jordan or Penny or Kobe whatsoever. What is it about Dwyane Wade why you think he is an "18 PPG player" and he wouldn't be playing like this without Shaq. What has he shown you? I'm curious what it is I'm missing? He has done it without Shaq last year, he's done it in the playoffs wthout Shaq this year. How can you not "worry about what year they are in". It's pretty important Wade is only a 2nd year guy, he's not even close to his prime, he's still learning the game at the NBA level, and hes still getting better. So I'm trying to figure it out...

first of all going to the second round of the playoffs in the eastern conference is not accomplishment at all.me,you, and 3 other dudes off this site could do that.if your not in the eastern conference finals your nothing in that joke of a conference.new jersey, boston, philly, and washington were all a joke this year.and if i do re-call last year wade held his own but it was odom absolutely killin everyone over there that did damage.there was no answer for him.like i said wade is a nice player and i think were getting away from the title of this thread "michael i mean wade".there is no michael i mean wade in this post for the reasons you stated,no one can duplicate that.we have had babe ruth, joe montana, wayne gretzky,,michael jordan and then athletes great and decent.and yes i give wade props he is steppin his game up big time in the playoffs as the great ones are supposed to.but the "jordan" is "jordan" and the rest are great and average nba players.

OK, you continue to beat around the bush and not answer my questions. You obviously just have it out for Wade. You continue to degrade his accomplishments without offering any proof or reasoning as to WHY you believe he is just a "nice player". You keep labeling Wade as a "nice player" which is a slap in the face to him. You called him nothing more than an 18 PPG player and that is a slap in the face to him. I understand the title of the thread, and that wasn't what I asked. You obviously don't have 1 solid reason as to why you think he is just a "nice player", and I'm not going to try to dig it out of you anymore. This is obviously a case of jealousy or envy. I'm done with this particular thread. Have a good one.
