defending kobe?lol i put him in the same category in my post as wade and penny and thats the bow down and thank the lord you got saved category.look at the after shaq penny and the after shaq kobe.nothing like they were in the shaq era's and wade is no different.i dont worry bout what year there in.if thats the case isnt lebron the next jordan?once shaq is gone wade goes back to the 18 points a game really nice player but he wont ever be mentioned in the top 50 of all time unless shaq plays 10 more years.that wont happen.
First of all, I don't believe in all of this "the next Jordan" talk. I don't think there will ever be anyone like Michael Jordan. This isn't directed at you, really at the media and everyone. Who says there HAS to be a next Jordan and it's only a matter of time? But besides that, LeBron is f*ckin awesome too, but he has yet to make the playoffs. But he's unbelievable too and has shown all of the intangibles. I'd like to see him make a postseason though and then do damage in the postseason.
The problem with your criticism of Wade is that he made the playoffs as a ROOKIE without Shaq and was the heart of that team. He made the playoffs without Shaq as a rookie, with the same team Kobe couldn't do it with now. He made the game winning shot as a rookie, and took his team to the 2nd round. Now he practically hasn't even had Shaq in these playoffs until last nights game, and he's dominating the playoffs better than anyone this year. Not only did Kobe not even make the playoffs with those Heat guys, but he's got much more experience and a developed game than Wade. Wade's still getting better. He's not even close to his prime yet. The whole Shaq argument is a little far-fetched. Shaq has been a complete non-factor these playoffs, whether it be him not even playing, or him on one leg, he hasn't been double teamed for the most part until last nights game.
I'm totally convinced you just have it out for Wade, and it definitely has something to do with the whole Shaq/Kobe/Lakers thing. And thats fine if its true, fans are fans. But all I ask for is for some kind of rational statement why you think Wade is just another Penny Hardaway. It wasn't too hard to see that Penny was not very good even with Shaq. Regardless of stats, just looking at his talent.
Like I asked earlier, what is it thats so terrible that Wade has showed you to make you think it's all Shaquille O'Neal?
-
Wade is a ball hog? No. He gets everyone involved.
-
Wade can't play defense? No. He hustles and gets back on defense. He's gotten plenty of recognition for the defensive part of his game as well. He has even blocked 7 footers shots in a few games this year.
-
Wade can't pull up and shoot? No. He shows that he can every night and its still getting better.
-
Wade can't drive to the basket? No. That's the best part of his game.
-
Wade can't get others involved? No. He's awesome at driving to the lane and dishing it off.
-
Wade's not a good passer? No. He's a very good passer.
-
Wade doesn't do it when it counts? No. All he's done is carry this team in the 4th quarter when they need him most.
-
Wade can't take a game over on his own? No. He showed that against the best defense in the league. 20 in the 4th quarter. Kobe couldn't do that against this team, even with Shaq.
-
Wade wouldn't even be in the playoffs if it werent for Shaq? No, he lead the Heat to the 2nd round last year without Shaq.
-
Wade can't elevate and play above the rim? No. Thats the best part of his game.
-
Wade can't dribble, he's a spot up shooter? No. He plays point guard too, and he's probably the best 1 on 1 player in the game.
-
Wade is old and he's not fast? No. Hes a 2nd year player, and he's one of the quickest in the NBA.
-
Wade can't make adjustments and he gets flustered easily? No. He had his worst game of the year against Detroit, and came back the next game and dropped 40 on them and shown he can make adjustments.
-
Wade will never make it because he's got that "me first" mentality and he doesn't have his head screwed on right? No. He's humble and one of the most classiest players in the league.
So once again, I'm asking you a serious question. This has nothing to do with Michael Jordan or Penny or Kobe whatsoever. What is it about Dwyane Wade why you think he is an "18 PPG player" and he wouldn't be playing like this without Shaq. What has he shown you? I'm curious what it is I'm missing? He has done it without Shaq last year, he's done it in the playoffs wthout Shaq this year. How can you not "worry about what year they are in". It's pretty important Wade is only a 2nd year guy, he's not even close to his prime, he's still learning the game at the NBA level, and hes still getting better. So I'm trying to figure it out...
