Arguably the 2 best defenses in the league meet tonight. A natural UNDER. Tough to see both of these 2 breaking 80. Detroit has not had much success against the West elite.

From Covers:
Right now, the Pistons are labeled as "offensively challenged," as demonstrated during Tuesday's 82-81 upset loss to the Hornets. Detroit sits at 22nd in the NBA in scoring at 90 points per contest. Defense, on the other hand, is where the Pistons are Vikings. They lead the league with a measly 84.6 points allowed per game, a number that has dipped to 73.6 since Rasheed's arrival.

The Spurs don't exactly light up the scoreboard, either. They're 18th in offense at 91.2 points a night, but second in defense behind Detroit at 85.1 points allowed per game. The under is 40-30 for San Antonio and a bankroll-swelling 43-27 for the Pistons, cashing in the last nine times in a row.

San Antonio won and covered its last five meetings with Detroit before this season. That changed on Jan. 19, when the Pistons beat the Spurs 85-77 as 2-point home faves. The two clubs skimmed below the total by 8 1/2 points.

every method i use to create line for totals shows this being right around 176. but i am a fairly new handicapper and cap my games without placing bets, rather just to track my results. should be interesting to say the least.

Very strong chance this game goes over, although the teams doing the battle may not be the best at putting up points. Best of luck to all.

This one concerns me a bit.

4 times this season a team has went over/under the total for 9 consecutive games. The record is 0-4.

Good luck

Detroit has went under the total for 9 straight games. This has only been done 4 times this year according to my records. Had you faded this trend those 4 times, we would be 0-4.

Need help General and Sportbet, I think you guys are saying the opposite. Which one is right??

GENERAL SAYS:
"Detroit has went under the total for 9 straight games. This has only been done 4 times this year according to my records. Had you FADED this trend those 4 times, we would be 0-4."

Faded meaning if you had gone against the trend and bet OVER you would be 0-4???

Sportbet says:

Detroit has gone under 8 straight games...teams that have had 8 games straight Over OR Under have done the opposite of their streak in the 9th game.

So if you follow that stat the Pistons will go OVER tonight.

Whose right?? or I'm i just reading this wrong??

Ah I think I am contradicting you G....sorry about that. I thought it was flip flopped.

Sorry Falco for the confusion!

G is right it is 9 games and fading that would put you 0-4.

Detroit has went 9 straight under the total. If you wager over, you are fading an 0-4 trend. If you wager under, you are riding the trend, looking for 0-5.

GENERAL:Jeez I have an effing blind spot in my brain. I still can't get. I want to ban the word "fading", Its like a double negative that turns positive on me.

So going with the trend means betting this total UNDER?? Detroit has gone under 9 times so go with it?? please dont use the word fade thanks in advance, Class dunce,

Yes.

But I'm not suggesting a wager, just sharing a trend.
