Wow, your a real sore loser olballcoach, LOL.
Lakers are definitely the better team. No question. However, they are not playing to their potential at all. Its been like that for the last 3 months or more. Denver has been playing better basketball than the lakers in the last 3 months or so. I'm baffled by it, and so is Phil Jackson.
Denver has a lot of talent too, but their guys are short tempered, highly emotional, and can't handle pressure at the end of games. A bunch of guys who think they're thugs. A great example is JR Smith's tanting technical late in the game tonight.
To take Melo/Chauncy over Kobe/Gasol is ridiculous. Kobe is a better player than Melo and Chauncy combined. I don't think Melo made a field goal in the second half tonight, and he fouled out. Chauncy took bad shot after bad shot tonight. Kobe is first team all defensive, not Melo, who is just now picking up his defensive game. Kobe has better fundamentals, bball IQ, composure, leadership, etc...Gasol, although soft, is one of the best big men in the league. He's definitely better than any Denver big man.
When Bynum/Gasol are playing their best, they are unstoppable down low. Then you throw in arguably the best player in the game - Kobe Bryant. Cmon.
Then you have Odom coming off the bench. Lakers have one of the best benches in the NBA - Ariza is alright?!? Ariza is their best player off the bench right now, he had a steal last game and tonight that basically sealed both games. Knocking down 3's, playin D - he's crucial to the Lakers right now.
The problem is the lakers have been playing like SHIT as a team for months. Horrible unconsistent defense, horrible free throw shooting, bad defensive rebounding, and a complete lack of intensity and passion. The only reason they are able to pull out wins is because they have more talent, and hands down the best closer in the game.
