Read where he had back surgery... is he going to miss the game as well now?

Granger is out. He's probably a bigger loss than Murray. But at this point I don't think it really matters. Nobody is giving the Sooners a chance anyway.

You don't know my Sooner friends then. They don't think UF can keep up with OU's offense. That's my only fear in the game is if a track meet were to occur.

Which will likely be just the motivation they need . . . .

This pitiful OU team just doesn't have a chance against the mighty gators. You better jump on the gators now and start driving up the point spread to about Fla -10. I thank you for your support.

I remember not too longer ago when OU played in the Orange Bowl as underdogs against a mighty Florida team and they didn't do too bad. I don't think too many people had them picked to win either.

I think the Sooners played A LOT better competition this year in the Big 12 and it will show in the title game. Not to mention completely destroying TCU and Cincy.

If you are reffering to the Florida State game (also most thought Miami or UW should have been there instead). That was many moons ago. Since then I can give you refresher course on Medium Game Bob.

Something about Granger. He has been hurt almost the entire season since when he got hurt in the Washington game. He has played on and off since that game. But I wouldn't exactly call him a starter. He was a good run stuffer on third and one situations. But his game repetetions were very limited. He was basically just part of a 5 man rotation on the defensive line, where OU is very deep. As much as I like Granger and think he is an outstanding player, I think at this point, losing a player like a Gerald McCoy, Austin Box or either of our two corners where OU isn't deep would have hurt the Sooners much more on defense.

Wow, doesn't matter who you lose (Murray, Granger), sounds like it won't affect you very much. That's pretty cool.

Athletes run far and deep in Norman JB, one person goes down, put the guy on the sideline in and you get equal if not greater production. It's called athletes. USC of the big 12 talet wise if that helps as a comparison. :howdy:

There's a reason one starts over the other, and it's not because the backup is better than the starter. We're fully aware of 2nd and 3rd string athletes down here in Austin, as ours beat up the Sooners on October 11th. I'll take the winning team's "Athletes" over the losing team's anyday. And those "Athletes" on Oklahoma, they're sure as hell not showing too much "Athleticism" on their special teams. BOL.

Oh yeah, one more thing 5-0, if there's so many "athletes" on OU's squad, why was the starting running back having to return kickoffs? Answer me that why don't ya......

I have seen PLENTY of people picking each team. I watched the Bowl Special on ESPN one guy said "Florida small, but I am not thrilled about the pick." The other guy (Robert Smith) said OU all the way. The only guy who felt strong about the Gators was the Florida alum Palmer.

Just because a few obnoxious Gator fans think they will rout OU doesnt mean nobody is giving OU a chance.

Reading magazines, everyone is split. Reading blogs, everyone is split.

There is no "OU against the world" here and there is no "Florida against the world" here.

Sam Bradford just won the Heisman Trophy - over Tebow nonetheless.

There is no disrespect to either team given, and neither team is taking the other lightly.

In the 2nd half when Oklahoma's sucking air since Granger is out and not helping to substitute in for the 4 man rotation would be a good time to pull this thread back up and ask you how deep OU is!

gmoney...I could care less if you bring up this thread or all of the Florida homer threads in the RX. I'm just stating the facts with Granger. He hasn't seen that much playing time this year. If OU misses him in this game, so be it.

The best thing about the Granger injury-surgery, is it doesn't matter if he "borrows" a coat at Burlington Coat Factory.:missingte He probably won't even make the trip.
