Dem Congressman on Obamacare: The Worst Is Yet to Come, It’s ‘Going to Hit the Fan’
By Andrew Johnson

April 21, 2014 2:45 PM

Massachusetts representative Stephen Lynch isn’t just worried about the negative impact Obamacare will have on his party’s performance this fall — he also thinks its worst effects on our health-care system are still to come. Lynch, who voted against the Affordable Care Act in 2010, warned that the situation is “going to hit the fan” when the law’s delayed provisions go into effect down the road.

“There are parts of Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act, that were postponed because they are unpalatable,” he told the Boston Herald. The “Cadillac tax” that goes into effect in a few years and taxes employer health plans over a certain value, he said, will be “the first time in this country’s history that we have actually taxed health care.”

Repeal is now impossible, he says, because of the number of Americans who’ve signed up for the law’s exchanges. Democrats will take big political hits on the law this fall anyway, Lynch said.

“We will lose seats in the House,” he said. “I am fairly certain of that based on the poll numbers that are coming out from the more experienced pollsters down there, and I think we may lose the Senate.”

But, but, but....the cucumber-armed troll said "the law is working!!!"

How can this be?????

If Obamacare is so fantastic, why all the delayed provisions and waivers? And why won't they release the raw numbers to the public?

:think2:

c'mon man

don'tchaknow that just because someone talks about Obama being incredibly weak on foreign policy, they're acknowledging the fact that Obamacare is working

then again, logic never was a strength of libtardville. It's about throwing all the shit one can against the wall and hoping something sticks

All you guys do is bitch like little babies. It's hilarious. Obamacare will be fine and will be around the rest of your miserable lives. In 10 years the Repubs will claim it was their idea.

You guys lose like fucking losers, always proud of your beatdowns.

Obamacare is just as successful as the 76'ers, but losers embrace losers and losses.

To be honest this has been the Republican model when it comes to Presidential election and probably will continue.

the Dems going to nominate another African American to get the inner-city vote out in massive numbers?

no inner-city turnout, elections will look more like 2010 (we'll see soon enough in November)

BTW: I haven't been in love with Republican nominees, but I don't understand how Democrats could love their nominees either. I guess we have different standards, hence my suggestion that liberals love losers is accurate.

The only time Democrats get the turnout they need to win elections is when their ignorant loser base has a "rock star" type candidate that can motivate them to get off their lazy asses and vote.

2008: Hope and Change!

2010: Republicans win

2012: More Hope and Change!

2014: Republicans win

Having a 'crush' on a candidate ("he's the epitome of perfection!"; "the first black president!"; "he's just sooo hip and cool!") is a very feminine trait and totally nauseating for anyone who cares about the issues.

Also the Dem's seem to be counting on Hillary already. If her past catches up to her along with her lack of achievements who is their viable substitute. I think Hillary is beatable for many reasons and I would just as soon see her make it just for those reasons. But she not only has baggage she has nothing substantial to bring to the table. Anyone who thinks becoming a grand mother enhances her chances is reaching for the infamous straw. This election could prove to be her last straw. If she loses she will ride into the sunset and cease to be relevant.

I don't know many people who are in love with any of them to be honest. I don't see many democrats jumping for joy, I know a lot of people who voted for Obama cause they won't vote republican sometimes it's a north/south thing. No they won't run out a African American the next time they will put out a female to win it.

She will win it easy because the Republicans have nobody that we can see at this point and it's a damn shame it's been 6 years since W and this is the progress.

If I were to place a wager, I would also wager on the Dems/Hilary retaining the White House, but we are still 30 months from the 2016 election. Who knows where we are over two years from now. Could be a stronger chance of a Hilary win, or there could be an Obama like rise from some other candidate in either party.

This country is in a sad, sad state of affairs, when it would even consider electing a disgraced, impeached ex-President's corrupt wife to it's highest office.

But the Dem's are locked in and perhaps way too early. The Rep's have plenty of time. Bill came out of nowhere if you remember, just a little known governor from Arkansas. I think it is to the Rep's advantage that they have plenty of time on their hands. Ben Carson could emerge or someone that has a non-political background. That is what this country needs is a common sense POTUS with his/her agenda simply to get this country back on it's feet. Someone who makes promises he has the ability to keep. Not making vague promises like Hope and Change. With Hillary it will be more of the same, maybe even worse. She was Soros's pick until Obama gained the advantage.

I think it's going to be hard to be beat her. The Republican brand, for the most part, is damaged. A lot of people remember Bill fondly, which is to her benefit. I could be wrong, but that's how I see it.

I agree. We are still 30 months out, a lot can change.

As long as the govt checks keep rolling in...

2008 was the tipping point when the country moved decisively from a nation of makers to a nation of takers.

Keep in mind, nobody, not her, not the leftist goofs at MSNBC, not her supporters, can name a single accomplishment she has ever achieved.

Very true.

But that didn't stop Dems from swooning over a "community organizer"
