go talk to somebody at delaware park. by january they will have table games. sports betting will probably start with just spreads, no straights like the other dude said BUT, Delaware park never makes a profit. I have talked to the previous CFO and he said they payout too much....SOOO they might allow straights due to the fact they are morons. They will also be putting up a hotel on the grounds so people can stay once the table games come.

I'm a former Delawarean

Live 20 minutes from there. Golf course is very nice. Straight bets and tables games were approved. They are still working out final details on vig, etc. This further drives a stake into AC's heart as there is now no reason to go to AC for table game players plus you have sportsbetting. The vig will probably suck but will certainly be there early in the season to see how quickly their lines do or do not change as that will be the key. The vig may suck but if they are slow to move lines it could be a very nice out.

GoGo, are you saying I can bet a game with the spread cause I didnt think they passed it for that, I thought it was only for the paraly cards? Also, will they be ready to take bets on the 1st NFL game Sept 10th?

will look for the article but yes they passed straight bets against the spread in addition to parlay cards. Not sure about being ready for first game but they should be. They have a committee assigned that is finalizing the rules, vig, start date, etc but yes straight bets are a GoGo.

This is great news! I googled articles but they are from May, couldnt find anything recent. It would be awesome to get action down on the 1st game.

I found out today that they are still trying to determine what kind of wagering will be permitted. They are trying to have this settled & ready to go by the start of the season.

What kind of betting will be allowed? Will there be straight wagering vs the spread or parlay cards?
There is now a thread in the offshore confirming straight bets was approved. Just posted this but will paste here as well.

DelPark is actually a pretty decent facility and has a very nice golf course and golf facility on it. So any RXer's looking to come down GoGo would be happy to entertain as live 20 minutes from there. Most likely the juice will be -110 or -115 one would guess and limits will probably not be great so from that perspective it may not be the best out. But the line setting and movement could be key especially if they don't get it right. Will definately be there the first few weeks to find soft spots in those lines and/or take advantage of slow moving numbers. Don't see them pulling this off perfectly particulary early given the time they have to get this rolling by 9/10.

and after the NFL suit is defeated, the next step will be court action to overturn the federal sports betting ban in places other than Del., NV, Ore. and Mon. the issue is winding its way through the judicial system now. may take years but the outcome will be worth it.

If they legalized sports betting in every state, the NFL revenues would sky rocket, not like they arent making money now!

Deleware better make their money quickly. Because when/if NJ wins their lawsuit, the states that will have Sportsbetting within about 5 years will be just about all of them.
