Del Mar proudly presents The El Cajon Stakes for 3 year olds running 1 mile on the all weather track for a purse of $100,000. Currently 8 are entered to start with post time scheduled for 9:30 p.m. EDT. This is an open thread with all opinions, thoughts, selections, discussion, whatever very much welcome. Best of luck.

#5 UNCLE SAM takes a class drop (-7) this afternoon, and has hit the board in "POWER RUN FASHION" in three of his last four starts overall, winning twice, including a "POWER RUN WIN" in his 4th race back. Jockey Rafael Bejarano and Trainer Bob Baffert send him to the post ... they've hit the board with and impressive 67% of their entries saddled as a team to date. #3 SAHARA SKY has hit the board in four of his last five outings, winning in his 5th race back, and comes off three straight "POWER RUN SHOW" finishes in his last three starts.
