Race 1
There's a good chance that CONCERT MASTER will make an easy lead and never look back. However, if there is company dueling for the front, then I'd like to have me $$ on SPECTACULAR BAY - get's the rider upgrade and has a spectacular workout leading up to this.
Race 2
As I look at BACHELORETTE ONE I can't help but wonder how low the price would be if she had a "name" jockey aboard. But she's 5-1 ML and with Lovato up might actually stay near that number. The works are consistent and Ward knows how to get 2 yr olds ready. You gotta love her chances.
Race 3
So many question marks in this race. I finally settled on SELVATICA who has plenty of questions to answer herself. But she looks to be fit and has terrific sprint breeding. You could do worse than Tyler when you need to get to the front.
Race 4
Julio has obviously been on fire and you couldn't talk me off his 2nd time starter EVENT TO REMEMBER in this race. Depending on the odds this might be my biggest play of the day.
Race 5
I wasn't thrilled with the effort from ANTHONY EATS last out as he ate a bit of my cash, but I'm willing to give him one more try as he plummets down to the state-bred level.
Race 6
P-Val will probably win this but I'm not backing the favorite in a race full of nags. I'll look at STEPHEN'S GHOST hoping Gomez can keep her close enough to make a run.
Race 7
Looking forward to this race as I've always liked SARAFAN. This may be his last hurrah and he loves the Del Mar track - would be my sentimental pick. I'll be sure to have the Canani import in there somewhere though.
Race 8
BIG BAT took some action in his debut and failed miserably. That experience should translate to a much improved effort today and the move outside a little doesn't hurt either.
