It’s the Iran hostage crisis once again, although on much smaller scale. Instead of 52 Americans, this time it’s 2.
Two Americans held in Tehran each have been sentenced to eight years in jail on charges of espionage and illegal entry, Iran’s state TV is reporting.
Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal have been held since July 2009 after being taken into custody on the Iran-Iraq border. A third American who was taken with them, Sarah Shourd, was released in September on $500,000 bail and returned to the United States.
My question is, should the administration care and if so, what should it do?
