the fact that nobody has read this or provided a reply to it, shows how inept the people on this forum really are. this answers the question in a way that cannot be disputed. where are all the idiot loudmouths that say it is much to do about nothing????? let them man up and explain this.

Another angle - I posted this on Thursday. The Patriots and Tom Brady knew what they were doing and have been since 2007. It's smart, gives an advantage, and is against the NFL rules. They were finally caught so I expect the plays per fumble value to decrease.

"Which in layman’s terms means that this result only being a coincidence, is like winning a raffle where you have a 0.0000616 probability to win. Which in other words, it’s very unlikely that it’s a coincidence."

liar figure and figures lie

my guess is that every successful team in every sport as some statistical anomaly working for it, that's why they win

as a UConn fan, I know "we've been very lucky for decades now". You see, every team seems to have a bad shooting night against us for some strange reason. That too has to be some sort of statistical anomaly.

Statistics can be manipulated to say whatever you want them to portray. At a glance my first thought would be do they run more or pass more? Do fumbles occur more on teams that run the ball if so how do the Pats compare against teams that run the ball vs pass more? This list can go on and on so I don't hold much to these cursory statistics that do not spell out the exact comparisons used in obtaining the stats.

Based on the article stating The 2014 Patriots were just the 3rd team in the last 25 years to never have lost a fumble at home!
Was the Patriots the first team, 2nd or 3rd team to achieve this accolade? Did anyone question the other teams about not losing a fumble at home?
Besides statistics being deceptive writers can sway public opinion. We see this each week where they build up a team to be the best since sliced bread and the pts climb higher and higher. They are out to sell their articles.

Lol this article is hogwash. First of all, look at Pats fumbles lost last few years. 8th, 1st, 14th, 9th etc.second off, the chart starts at 30 fumbles lost so it looks more obscure than it should be. If it started at zero, it would not look like such a statistical outlier. Also you have to account for Pats hurry up offense and ability to move the chains as well as BB no tolerance for fumbling IE you get taken out immediately.

Especially The Lady Huskies. Geno Auriemma born with a horshoe up his ass. Lady Huskies went 39-0 during the 2008–09 season, winning their 6th national championship, followed that up in 2009–10 with another 39-0 and their 7th national title. Their winning streak went to 90 games. The UConn Lady Huskies have the longest winning streak in NCAA college basketball (men’s or women’s) history.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. —
Deflategate could have been caused by the weather conditions at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Sunday night, a Boston College physics professor said........
“It’s not possible for Weather not to have played a role,” said Professor Michael Naughton, chair of the physics department.
7 Things you need to know about Deflategate Naughton, in a press release issued by the university, said a football that has been inflated immediately begins losing pressure once it is placed in colder temperatures.

While it was not that cold at Foxborough Sunday night, it was likely colder on the field than the room where the balls were inflated. “Say you inflated the ball to 12.5 PSI -- the NFL minimum -- in a room at 70 degrees, and then used the ball outside where it was 50 degrees. That 12.5 PSI would eventually become 11.5 PSI," said Naughton.
"If you inflate the ball to 12.5 PSI in an even warmer room where it was, say, 80 degrees, and then played outdoors at 40 degrees, that 12.5 PSI would become 10.5 PSI -- a drop of two PSIs."
The NFL has found that 11 of the 12 balls used by Tom Brady and the Patriots were underinflated, ESPN reported.
