What is considered a Nationally Televised game?

Im guessing obviously NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS and ESPN broadcast games count but what about:

ESPN2
ESPNU
Big Ten Network
CSTV
ESPN Classic

Do any of those count as Nationally Televised? If so which ones...

Thanks.

i'd say cstv, espn u, espn c, espn 360, the ocho, fox sports network, and big 10 network do not count.

for ncaa just cbs, nbc, abc, espn, and espn2

No right or wrong answer here. Generally I would think it is game's shown on national channels or the most basic of cable.

I wouldn't classify ABC regionals as national, sometimes only a quarter of the country sees those games... Thats just me though.

mistaflava.....

national tv games are on espn, espn2....not sure about espnu or classic...

channels like abc, cbs habve both national and regional games....Being a Tennessee fan and working in the athletic department here I know when UT plays florida on cbs, sometimes the game is regionalized to the south, or sometimes its all over the country.

samething goes for abc.....when florida state plays maryland and oregon is playing washington, they split them up.....sometimes even have 3 of 4 games going regionally....

so to sum it all up....

when a game is on espn or espn2 i am pretty sure it is usually on national tv....when on abc or cbs it depends on the game and what the network wants to do....

I think nationally televised includes any channel that's included with basic cable, so it includes ESPN, TNT, and TBS.

So any game on those networks that is being shown to every region of the country would be classified as nationally televised.

I would assume so, but I haven't had basic cable in years, so I have no idea what channels it now includes.
