If you could steal 5 million dollars, with a guarantee of never being caught, would you do it? That is the best question that I could think of to determine what is in someone's heart. Can anyone think of a better question? I am curious to hear the answers, cause I have no idea what to expect. I will start off by saying that I would not steal the money.

In general, I wouldn't take the money. However, if I found myself over in Iraq like those soldiers did a couple of years back with a stash of $200 million and somebody told me i could make off with $5 million and never get caught or it would just go back to some corrupt bastard like Ahmad Chalabi, I gotta admit, that would be pretty damn tempting.

I don't think you should feel guilty, believe me, I agree with your sentiments 100%. But doesn't stealing, regardless of who you steal from, conflict with your faith? This is one item where I believe the Bible is pretty straightforward and doesn't allow for a lot of interpretation on your part.

Not sure I follow you. You would break in the BOS's vault and not feel guilty about it? How is that not stealing?

Thinking thru this some more...

I would definitely steal from somebody like Ken Lay, Jeffrey Skilling, Bernie Ebbers, Richard Scrushy, Dennis Kozlowski and other assorted right wing Republican rip-off artists if I knew I wouldn't be caught.

Like Truth, I think I would have to commit to redistribute the money especially to the people that were ripped of of their savings from these predators (who all deserve to be shot by the way) providing that wouldn't give me away as the culprit who stole the $5 million.

But yeah, in this case not only would I be happy to steal it, I'd feel morally vindicated.
